As someone said in another review, ordering batteries on the web can be a crapshoot. I certainly agree with this. I decided to order all of my batteries from the same supplier so if there were any problems I would only have to deal with one company. I chose MYBATTERYSUPPLIER whom I had used before. I didn’t mind paying a bit extra, if necessary, to receive my batteries in dated packages rather than non-dated tear strips. I ordered the 5-pack of CR2450’s, two 12-packs of CR2032’s, and a single tri-pack of silver oxide 357’s. Links are below:

The lithium CR2450 batteries had an expiration date of March 2024. Looks good to me since I ordered in December 2016. The Panasonic CR2032 lithium batteries had a production date of Feb 2015 and an expiration date of Jan 2025. Almost two years from the date of production, yet still with about 8 years until expiration. (actually nearly a year longer than the Energizer CR2450’s) Also good in my opinion. The silver oxide 357 batteries I received came off a tear sheet, not the three pack that I had ordered. I wouldn’t mind that if they had been dated. No date was on the package, but there was the maunufacturer’s code “ZU”. This required a call to the Energizer 800 number where I was informed that the silver oxide batteries only have a three year shelf life and the “ZU” code means that they were manufactured in May of 2014. These were too old and upon emailing MYBATTERYSUPPLIER the batteries were replaced at no additional cost to me. Although slightly more expensive than alkaline batteries, the silver oxide batteries are slightly higher in voltage (1.55V versus 1.5V) and unlike alkaline batteries, maintain a constant voltage over the life of the battery. So don’t substitute an alkaline battery when your device calls for a silver oxide one. The replacement silver oxides came in the package that I had originally ordered and had an expiration date of March 2021. Excellent! You can barely see the the manufacturer’s code “ZI” embossed on the back at the bottom. I didn’t call to find out the production date on this one as I could already tell from the expiration date that they were manufactured recently. The take away messages are:
1) If the batteries you receive don’t have an expiration date listed, call the manufacturer.
2) Don’t substitute alkaline batteries when silver oxides are recommended.
