Recording Operation

1. Before recording the music or conversation,please check the bottem of blank cassette tape both side A or B it must have two 'Recording Lip'.

3. You can monitor the recording process through your headphone or speaker.

Pros:
Well priced
It’s small and fits in my pocket well.
Plays tapes perfectly and at proper speed.
Volume is decent with headphones.
No tape jams yet an I
Used it heavily all week 🤝🏽

Cons:
The outside speaker is a nice touch but it’s not loud at all.

Pretty sure this is mono and not stereo.

I have yet to use the recorder button on blanks but I did read reviews of the mic being horrible and I could definitely see that being an issue.

It’s a little fragile, definitely not for kids but more so the adult who handles things with intention and care.

Plain and simple. You can find better but it will come at a price much higher than this entry level starter player.

These came super quick right before Christmas which was very appreciated. They are also super easy to use and require no instructions which is nice because I haven’t used a cassette player in years. I bought 2 and gave one to my sister and her boyfriend as a gift because they’re about to be dating long distance. I thought it’d be fun if they each had one and then could send voice recordings to each other through the mail! It’d be nice if they came with a cassette or something but you can just go to your local goodwill and pick up a whole case of them for like $1. Definitely not worth buying a new one off of Amazon haha

when you play a pre-recorded tape, it sounds pretty good. when I tried recording on it, you do get a lot of background noise, but every tape recorder I've tried that's made new has that same problem. I like that it has a mic input, because you can plug in a computer and record your favorite songs to tape, which I did, and there was significantly less noise then, but it was still there. I bought one of these about 6 months ago and I use it quite regularly, and it has lasted since then with no problems. usually they tend to break within about 3 to 4 months for me.

Like other reviews have said, this unit is not a stereo unit ( despite a mention of 'stereo' in the product pictures ). Straight out of the box this player seems solid enough. The tape speed was fine and did not need adjustment ( checked using a speed reference tape). Azimuth was also okay, although I probably will 'tweak' it at some point. Playback through headphones is okay but as this is a mono device there will not be any stereo separation ( just in case you didn't know already). Playback through the speaker is okay also. Think of listening to something on your mobile phone speaker. I think this device would be well suited to dictation use.
