    I have grown three batches of broccoli sprouts in these jars. It works just as advertised, but I just couldn't stomach the bitter taste of the broccoli sprouts. I decided to try growing the same seeds in a flat container of soil, and it seems like a completely different sprout. In the jars, they grow very short, yellow and curly -- and BITTER. In the flat container, they are tall and mild tasting. I just think the soil makes a difference. So while these do just what is advertised, I'll be sticking to the soil method.
