Now I wanted to make sure that I bought Manuka that is officially UMF certified. I’ve found a few things already that seem to be a bit off. The lack of the outer packaging (shell case), that’s normally on there. This may be due to easier and cheaper shipping by it not being on there. Although other consumers photos show it. Secondly the pricing is very poor in comparison to shopping around. Third, the consistency and taste both with this brand has actually been different when previously tried. Lastly the expiration on this is WAY to soon, honey 🍯 as a whole really shouldn’t have an expiration of its pure. But for the sake of the nutritional value I understand that it needs to be fresh in order to preserve the health benefits. Yet receiving mine I can see the date of manufacturing & being that it’s years ago & my expiration is much closer then it would have been if I store shopped for it & found a “fresh” batch, I feel a little taken advantage of since I chose to purchase it through Amazon. There is no “guarantee” that other companies have with customer satisfaction. That being said it is officially UMF certified (which I will not “trust” or take some other companies word for with their own lab testing that they are consistent with UMF standards). If that was the case they should be UMF tested. Research on your Manuka given the quite high cost is extremely important. And if your just on the bandwagon because it’s popular right now, I’d suggest trying Costco as they carry it in season, price is quite impressive. Yet at Costco you don’t have much choice in brand. The brand they did have was both impressive and well priced with my last experience. The only thing was that Costco didn’t offer choices as far as 10+, 20+, etc. they simply offered a very high standard only. So also take that into consideration because you’ll be purchasing a very high UMF rated Manuka there. (Priced amazing/yet if this is a 1st go at it for you, do a bit of research as some of this is certainly just “trendy” at the moment & an enormous amount of the health benefits can be found in other honey 🍯).

I cannot go back to standard honey after having been exposed to this.

    Ok, I live in Texas, and it seems like every one has allergies here, mostly cedar I guess because there is a ton of cedar trees here. Anyway, Some years ago I got a winter cold, not bad, but it just didn’t go away, even months later I was still having sinus drainage in the mornings. I went to the doctor, and he prescribed a course of steroids for a week. I took them, and they did help, for a week, and maybe two weeks, then the congestion came back just like it had never left. I was searching the web for some kind of home remedies, and I ran across this Manuka honey. It is a bit pricey, around $40 for a jar, but after having to deal with this issue for so long, i decided to give it a try. After receiving the honey, I was concerned that it wouldn’t taste good, but that was unfounded. It tastes fine, sweet as you expect honey to be. I started putting about a table spoon in things that I ate in the morning, like a bowl of cereal, or oatmeal, or on toast. I have to say, that it has helped me. I have gone through about half the jar, sharing it with my wife. It is honey after all. After a few weeks, my sinus issues have slacked off in a major way. I still have a bit of congestion in the morning, but the disgusting drainage has gone away. It might sound like a miracle, and to me it is. I will be keeping this stuff around. Recommended!
