    I got the brown ones for my leather Converse-like sneakers. I wanted to turn my shoes into slip-ons so that it’s easier to wear it every day.

    Color - the original laces look better when they are a darker shade of brown compared to the leather. These silicone ones are just a hair of a shade lighter than my shoes. Plus, when the material stretches, it becomes thinner and more “see through” hence lightens up. Doesn’t look so good on the shoes anymore.

    Installation - I feel if should be advertised if there is a maximum shoe size a set of these should fit. I wear size 12, and used pieces 3-8. Piece no 3 is the shortest and therefore the hardest to fit. It gets easier after that. But piece no 3 stretched so much that with all the bending and stretching at the toes that comes with walking I’m not convince that piece no 3 will last, especially at larger shoe sizes. The “ears” of piece no 3 are already over-stretching after installation. For larger shoe sizes perhaps a set with at least 3 pieces of no 4-6 each might work. You can get multiple sets of these silicon laces to accumulate multiple pieces but you wouldn’t know how they would fit before buying. I’m reviewing this installing a single set so I feel this is a fair comment.

    Appearance - laces look great with the criss-cross patterns. These look slightly childish after installation. Maybe I need to get used to how it looks. It might look acceptable to many.

    Wearing - this is might be a deal breaker for some if you’d like to make ur shoes into slip-ons. They can make your shoes very snug. Slipping into them means your toes will be stretching your socks at the toe area. You will wear out your socks faster at the toes. And you can’t slip on your shoes. You’ll have to pull at the shoe “tongue” and heel to squeeze your feet in. If I need to manhandle so much, I might as well deal with looser laces.

    Walking - this is a deal breaker for me. While walking, the piece no 7 and 8 stretches, so the soles of the shoes don’t lift off the ground as much. These “slip-ons” are now “flip-flops”. You can’t brisk walk in these. For sports sneakers that have eyelets higher up the ankles, these might work, but they don’t for my shoes.

    Overall - nice in concept, not so great holding up to real-life wearing and walking. Will be returning.
