I bought this to make it easier for me to bring my groceries up my back steps. In the winter, we park in back of our house because of opposite side parking & I don't want to keep jockeying the car every night. I just needed to find a way to make bringing the groceries into the house easier. I bought this, as well as a laundry hamper so I could load up the groceries, bungee-cord it to the trolley & bring it up the 3 steps to the house. The bungee-cord comes with the trolley so that's a plus. It folds flat in the car & stores well in the house. When you pull down the flat ledge, the wheels fold out too, locking in place. I wouldn't use it for really heavy furniture, but it handles a hamper loaded with groceries quite well. It's so much easier pulling it up the stairs with those stair-climber wheels.
