This is for kids up to 80 pounds. It's not super clear in the ad but no biggie. It's a really solid and well made unit. The hoverboard industry it mature at this point so, even basic units like this one, are fairly advanced. The instructions are clear. Once it's charged and the balance set it's ready to use. I'd recommend a helmet for sure. Like riding a bike, it's easy once you get it. The board is heavy, which makes it more stable. There are lots of smart features to keep you in control. The wheels light up, which the kids. loved. It's capped at about 5 MPH. It will sense and warn you in the surface is too rough or the incline to severe. The wheels offer some cushioning. The whole thing comes together very nicely. To get this quality for under $100 seems like a deal.

    I got this for my ten year old. There was absolutely a learning curve, and I'm really glad he was wearing wrist pads when he tried it. It seems solidly built, and worked as expected. Battery like is ok - I don't know about a three mile distance on it, but it does work for riding around the neighborhood.

    This is the first hoverboard we have had, so I don't have a lot to compare it to. That said, it doesn't feel junky and disposable, so I'm hoping it will last a long time. My son is getting a lot of use out of it. The lights are pretty cool.

    Here's the scale I'm using for my ratings:
    ⭐️ 1 star= Nope! I not recommended. It’s poorly made, or not what it’s listed to be.
    ⭐️⭐️ 2 stars = Has some redeeming qualities, would not buy again.
    ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars = Meh. It's passable. Might not be worth the price.
    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars = Good, but there’s something off
    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars = Yes! Exactly what it should be.

    My kiddo has had a blast with this thing. It holds a charge for a decent amount of time. It took some getting used to, but once he got the hang of it, I can hardly get him off it. I don't know a lot about these things, but this one seems well made. Very happy with this!

    My kids got on this right out of the box and figured out how to ride it with elegance within about 20 minutes. It's hefty and solid, not cheaply made at all. The LEDs giving you feedback on battery life is a nice touch, and out of the box it had a reasonable charge already.

    As far as the battery life, I'm not sure the '3 miles on a single charge' thing is legit. My kids play on this for 30 minutes or so and it's ready for a recharge. Maybe if you just go forward non stop for those 30 minutes you'd get 3 miles out of it, but I'm skeptical. It's a fun gadget nonetheless, and my kids are going outside again. I love it!! :)

    The charge does take a long time (a lot longer than the battery lasts) and the charger and charger port seemed a bit cheap for the otherwise high quality of the hoverboard itself. The pin in the middle of the charging port on the one we received wasn't completely centered, but that seems to have righted itself after a few charges and probably has adjusted itself into the right spot at this point.

    Lots of fun, sometimes at the beginner's expense. This board does take a bit to fully charge, but the battery seems to hold long enough to have some fun. It is rated for a 3 mile charge. I have not put a tracker to verify, but it does last for a trip or two around the neighborhood and around the driveway. The wheels light up and provide some aesthetic pleasure. It takes a bit to master the balance, but once achieved, it is like riding a bike. This board is for younger kids, as the max weight is 80 pounds. For the price, this is a good buy.
