Good alternative to aerosol
I’m trying to go lower too and more reusable, and this is a good alternative to one use oil sprays. The dark glass jar helps keep the life of the oil and slow rancidity. However, you can still see the oil level so you can be prepared to refill. It is easy to use, and cleans as easy as can be when filled with oil. I give it a good soak before cleaning, because oil is a pain in general to clean.The trigger nozzle is easy to use. The pressure needed is medium… enough to prevent accidental spraying, but also light enough that both I and my 8 year old can use it.My biggest complaint is that often the oil comes out more in a stream than a mist. I’d prefer more a mist to lightly coat. I counter this by moving quickly over the food, but the stream can sometimes cause too much oil at once for my preference.

    I was happy to give this sprayer bottle a try for spritzing, as we recently got a new Kamado Joe that we use for smoking. I have now used this a few times while smoking brisket, with a 50/50 apple cider vinegar/water solution, and so far, I have been very pleased with how this has worked.

    As the instructions stated, I hand washed the sprayer part and put the glass bottle through the dishwasher before using this for the first time. Then, I filled the bottle with just water and tried spraying; the first several times did not spray (it was probably getting the air out), but soon, it started putting out the spray mist that I was looking for. Once I knew that the sprayer was working, I replaced the water with the prepared solution that I wanted to use during the brisket smoking session and tested to ensure that it was spraying it out a few times on the sink.

    The bottle does a great job of creating a nice mist that gets sprayed. I found it to be super easy to manuever and spray on the brisket, and even at sometimes weird angles, I seemed to be getting a pretty consistent spray. The size of the bottle is also perfect, as a larger size might have gotten too clumsy and difficult to handle; even for a long low-and-slow session, the bottle did not have to be refilled during the session, with vinegar left to spare afterwards.

    Overall, I would recommend this product.

    The spray is a solid stream and does not adjust to a fine misting so you have to spread it around on a pan or rub it around vegetables, etc. No different from dribbling around directly from a bottle. The "Misto" dispenser is far superior and spreads aa nice fine mist of oil onto food or surfaces. Do not recommend.
    UPDATE: I thought I would wash the sprayers out and they worked much better afterwards. I will keep them.

    My number one cooking necessity! If you don’t have one in your kitchen you need one, the spray mists out perfectly. I put olive oil in mine. So I use it for just about every meal. The handle works well and the glass is thick I’ve bumped it a few times and it hasn’t cracked.

    I'm so glad I got this. I really dislike using the spray cans from the store but I wanted to still have the convenience. This is so much better than those sprayers because you can fill it with whatever brand/flavor of oil you want. It doesn't leak and it works at Least as well as those things do. It feels very solid and I think it should last a long time in my house.

    It took me a couple of uses to get used to using the spray trigger on this because it can be a stronger/weaker spray depending on how you press the trigger. At first I couldn't figure out why sometimes I was getting a big misty spray but other times I was getting a concentrated stream. This actually is pretty cool now that I'm used to using it.

    I love how this bottle looks. It just looks So much better than those prefilled oil sprays from the store.
