Product Description
SkyMaster Pro binoculars are the ideal choice for amateur astronomers or anyone that observes at great distances. SkyMaster Pro uses superior optics, coatings, internal parts, and housing materials compared to lower-priced, large-aperture binoculars. With large objective lenses, BaK-4 prisms, and fully multi-coated optics utilizing Celestron's proprietary XLT coating technology, the view through a SkyMaster Pro is second to none at this price point. The 80mm objective lenses have tremendous light-gathering capabilities, delivering superior low-light performance, even in the dimmest conditions. Every air-to-glass surface is multi-coated with Celestron's proprietary XLT coating technology. These coatings and BaK-4 prisms increase light transmission through the optical path and deliver crisp, high-contrast images with excellent resolution. The SkyMaster Pro 20x80 mm's built-in tripod adapter allows the binocular to be attached to a tripod for added stability during longer viewing sessions and also allows a red-dot finder to be attached to it utilizing the included RSR “Reflex Sight Ready” Rail. Simply align your reflex sight with the binocular, and you can locate objects in seconds with the red-dot finderscope. The polycarbonate and aluminum housing allows the binocular to be lighter weight without sacrificing its durability. The protective rubber armor is extremely rugged and durable and can handle demanding use. The fully waterproof housing for all weather conditions provides peace of mind when unexpected weather occurs. The housing is also filled with dry nitrogen gas to prevent the internal lenses from fogging when moving between extreme temperatures or using the binocular in damp conditions. Bring distant objects into view with 20x magnification—great for observing celestial objects in greater detail, searching for wildlife in the brush, or viewing a distant object on the horizon.

The SkyMaster 20X80 Pro are rather impressive, especially given how relatively inexpensive you can acquire them. They see far and maintain a crisp full view. Easy one center knob focus. Eye relief is decent. The rail is removable for using a red dot finder scope. It’s a very good package they give you. Lifetime (limited) Warranty.
Now, they are no Echelon or Nature HD or any number of virtually 4 figure (or high 4 figure) Binoculars out on the Market. They are tough, well built, very nicely designed, comfortable Binoculars that Deliver really good Optics.
Shoot with discounts and/or coupons you can snag them for under $300.00. You Will not find a better pair of Binos this size at Celestron’s price! Good Luck and Clear Skies!

I wanted something in between the Telescope and the 8x42, so I went with the SkyMaster Pro 20X80.
Daytime viewing was ok. Not a good as the Trailseeker ED, but good enough. Astronomy was different. Stars looked like comets. Bright dot with a tail. The moon had significant Chromatic Aberration. That indicates both poor culmination and poor glass. I have a pair of 10x50 Minoltas that are about 40 years old and have had many accidents over the years. The Minoltas perform much better than the 20X80's. A modern entry level Binocular should be superior to a 40 year old pair. Not in this case. Perhaps the 20X80 PRO ED will be much better. If I'm going to spend 400+ on the ED, I'd rather go a little higher and get an Oberwerk 20x80 or 20x65 ED. Much better build and the culmination is confirmed prior to shipping. They just cost more.
Conclusion. You get what you pay for.

The one thing that is a little troublesome are the eye cups. They will fall off if rubbed against clothing or your face and can easily be lost.
I definitely recommend these binoculars.
