- I thought this was supposed to come with an extra crank. Mine did not.
- As others have demonstrated, one side does seem to feed more cards than the other. Easy work-around is to just load one side slightly more than the other.
PROS:
+ It does a good job of keeping your cards in decent condition while being able to shuffle them well.
+ SLEEVED cards still fit (Zero wiggle room, but shuffles perfectly) if you have expensive board games with player decks of cards that you sleeve to preserve them.
+ turning the crank is fairly effortless.
+ Manual shuffle means that if the cards start to jam you can easily stop and reverse and try again.
CONS:
- I wish the crank and shaft were metal because I worry it will snap. I'm careful with it but I wouldn't trust it to stand up to the abuse from children using it.
- Internal parts sound like they are plastic too but i haven't taken it apart to know. Unsure about longevity of the gearing mechanisms.
- The cards will jam occasionally, especially if the cards themselves are not in pristine condition. if you can't reverse out of it you'll have to take the card tray out and pull out the jammed cards. The jammed cards don't appear to be bent though, it's just that once in a while the card doesn't shuffle flat and instead goes vertical, blocking the unshuffled cards from entering the card chamber.
