I liked it so much I bought another one!

I liked it so much I bought another one!
I purchased this amp (and a pair Dual LU53PW 5 ¼ inch passive speakers) to replace my 15 yr. old Sharper Image wireless speaker system. The input to that setup was an 1/8 plug that went into the headphone jack of my phone. I wanted a Bluetooth amp and did not want to spend a ton of money for a garage stereo. My total was less than $100 (I already had 20' of speaker wire.)I mounted both the amp and the speakers to permanent shelves I built. It sounds great! The power supply that comes with it is 12 volts. You can use a PS that supplies up to 24 volts, but I don't think I need that, this is only a garage. If you think you want to have greater volume, the power input jack is a 5.5 mm * 2.1 mm if you're checking out other power supplies (you can purchase this amp without a power supply.)Once paired, as soon as I turn it on, it connects to my phone. If you have a lot of your own music on your phone, use the android app Poweramp to play your music. You can fine tune the sound, balance and other stuff with that app then save those setting as a preset. You then associate that preset with that particular Bluetooth connection. When I use Poweramp in my garage, the preset is automatically used (I like a lot of bass.) Pay the $5 for this awesome music app.The second one I purchased is for my covered deck. Since this is outside, I had to change speakers (the Dual speakers had reviews that say they rust when used outside.) I purchased Moukey M20-2 Passive speakers in black (my deck is stained black.) I also purchased a Sunnyglade ABS Plastic Dustproof Waterproof IP65 Junction Box Universal Durable Electrical Project Enclosure With Lock (3.9"x5.9"x2.8") in which to place the amp.I had replaced a switched, hardwired lighting system on my deck with wireless LED lights so I had a spare 120v A/C wired connection in the corner of my deck. I ran that connection into a single receptacle that is now used for my second amp. I bought the PS with the amp again, and I plugged that into the switched outlet. The DC power wire from that is run to the waterproof box. So are the wires that are connected to the speakers (see pic #4). All wires are run through automotive electrical grommets purchased locally. The electrical switch and waterproof 2 gang cover were also locally purchased (the price was the same between Lowes and Amazon.) The total cost for the deck sound system was a little over $100, as I had to buy wire, too (100' 16 gauge landscape wire from Lowes was the least expensive.)Please note that there are 3 versions of this amp. This one has a slide switch for on/off. The other two look like momentary switches and would likely not work for my deck, as I remove power from the device by cutting off the source.Since I live in a subdivision, I do not want to disturb my neighbors. The preset I saved for the deck in Poweramp has less bass so I don't really push the Moukey speakers like I do the Duals in the garage. Both speaker sets are good for their intended purpose/space.In hindsight, I should have bought the next size up for the Sunnyglade box. Everything fits, but it's kind of tight. I took a piece of oak to form a stand to hold the amp in place, but if you just stuff it into the 3.9"x5.9"x2.8" box without something to hold it in place, the volume button may get turned a bit when you close the box.If your going to match the radius of the curved sides of the amp, a 7/8" spade bit matches perfectly. Also, I painted everything to match either my house color or color coordinate to the Bluetooth items on the deck.

I’m using it to replace a radio that didn’t have Bluetooth, in my Sauna, Will see how well it handles the extreme high heat, but so far works beautifully, should be able to keep hatch closed and it be ok, if to hot, will route wires down close to the floor. Will update this review in a few month. So far good value.

Nice unit, I used for an easy diy portable AMP build, using marine quick connect pigtails for the speaker connections & I can plug it into a house outlet for power OR use my cordless power tool battery + power supply converter that converts my 20v Bauer Harbor freight battery to useable 120v home outlet (limited amps and watts) but it’s within spec of this amplifier and working no problem for me. Awesome purchase I recommend to anyone looking to power a few speakers.

I have sets of speakers all over the house, shop, hot tub, gym, camper ect… that quick connect into my portable amp box here when I want to use them. Because I will never be using them at the same time so why buy a million amplifiers.

The Bluetooth is pretty snappy and has been working harmoniously with a lot of different devices in the time I’ve used it.

The design and quality of the amplifier it’s self is far better than I could have anticipated for the price. Will likley build another one here soon enough so I have a backup.

I think the sound quality is good and clear but I’m also not super snobby about having bumping bass and the best speakers money can buy. This simply works well and now I have an excuse to use any speakers I can get my hands on.

Was able to test with a set of cheaper portable speakers - similar to the old cloth-covered, 3-way ones you used to find in vans. Sound is clean and decent - probably as good as one could expect from those speakers. Volume isn't overpowering but has plenty of output for sitting out back around a campfire or throwing shoes. BT connectivity was smooth and quick. One drawback - the adapter cable they provide for USB connection is terminated in USB Male, making it useless for plugging in a thumb drive. I ordered a USB F-F adapter but not sure why they bothered to send something that couldn't be used out-of-box. If you plan to use this as a USB input, either make sure your source device has a USB female port or buy the adapter along with it. Overall, a good value with or without the cable. As for BT range, I got out close to 100' line-of-sight before I started losing connectivity. I'm guessing they put the antenna inside the plastic faceplate - kinda wish they would have added a port you plug a little stinger antenna into as I would like to install this inside a weatherproof enclosure and would be nice to have an antenna I could extend outside the box and not lose BT range.

I have a very specific use case (whole house audio) but wow... I'm very impressed! Here's my take on how I'm using it...

    Whole House Audio Project:
We build our house about 11 years ago and wired it for 12 zones of audio. I have 4-wire speaker cable and CAT-5e network cable running from a central location in the basement to a single gang box in each room. Then, from the gang box, I have speaker wires running to the ceiling locations.

In the 11 years we've been here, we never pulled the trigger to purchase the "traditional" system (multi-channel amps, in wall controllers, speakers, etc.) We've been quoted well over $10,000 for all 12 zones in the past. Even a DIY solution online would run nearly $4,000 without the speakers (HTD Audio's Lync system with keypads.) That's just not worth it to me.

Being a Google fan, I set out to build a system using Google's Chromecast Audio devices, amplifiers, and in-ceiling speakers. I ended up purchasing this Mo-gu F900 amp for each zone in the house and it's been working perfectly! I'm at about $139 per zone and absolutely loving it!
I can stream to each zone (from Pandora, Spotify, Google Play Music, I Heart Radio, podcasts, etc.) and control it from an iOS device, Android device, computer, Google Home, etc. I can have different sources streaming to different zones or group any zones together. It's incredibly flexible and easy to use.

    Here's the setup (per zone):
    1. Google Chromecast Audio ($35)
    2. Mo-gu F900 Amplifier ($31.99)
    3. 82C 8-Inch In-Ceiling Speakers ($35.98 each, $72/pair - Available here on Amazon)

    And here's the installation details:
    1. Install the in-ceiling speakers.
    2. At the gang box, connect the speaker wires running to the ceiling to the 4-wire speaker wires running to the basement
    3. In the basement, connect the 4-wire speaker wires to the F900 (and plug in the F900 with the included power supply).
    4. Also in the basement, connect the Chromecast Audio device to the 1/8" jack on the F900. Plug in and configure the Chromecast Audio.
    5. Turn the F900 on and set the volume knob about half way up. You can use the Google Home app to adjust the final volume of course.
    6. In Google Home, select the Chromecast Audio device and edit the settings. Make sure you name it to the room it's located in. Also, adjust the treble and bass settings. I put both up almost all the way. The F900 can handle the wide frequency range very well. (YMMV of course so set it to your taste!)
    7. Also in Google Home, set up your groups (ie: Whole house, Downstairs, Bedrooms only, etc.) You can create as many groups as you like!
    8. Using an iOS, Android, or Google Home device, cast a source to the room and enjoy!

    Pros of the F900:
    * Powerful - It's driving the 8" speakers a lot better than I thought it would. Even over a long distance (>60 ft). Just make sure you use the proper gauge speaker wire if you have long distances.
    * Clean - We're not talking audiophile quality here but I was pleasantly surprised on how good this amp sounds.
    * Simple - It's a "set it and forget it" device in my solution. I plan on keeping it on all the time and I'm not too worried about it!

    Cons of the F900:
    * Size - It's actually a lot smaller than I thought it would be. Not really a bad thing but it was surprising.
    * Build Quality - The build quality is actually very good but the front sticker was applied a bit askew. Not a big deal though.
    * Hiss - When there is no audio playing, there's a VERY SLIGHT hiss that you can hear at the speaker. I mean, VERY, VERY SLIGHT. (I only heard it when I was on the ladder putting on the speaker grills. I had to have my ear closer than 12 inches away just to hear it. I can't hear it at standing height.

Well, that's it. My cheap whole house audio solution is complete and a lot more flexible than I could have expected. Grand total for all 12 zones was approximately $1,670 (not including the speaker wire). The real beauty is that you don't have to do all of your zones at once. You can build it out zone by zone. (That definitely helps when you have to get spousal approval!)

    Hope this review helps!

My very old all-in-one stereo system finally died with the CD player giving way. I salvaged the old small passive bookshelf speakers and found this item to drive them. I'm no audiophile, but enjoy my music.

This teeny sized amplifier drives the old speakers just fine and with good sound. I've used it a) connecting to my laptop with both a 1/8" patch cable and with bluetooth, and b) connecting to my phone via bluetooth. In both cases the connections were trouble free. (Haven't yet tried the USB connection though.) I also like that the speaker wires can be connected either via the bare wires using screws, or via banana plugs. Both straightforward.

If I have any criticism it would be that this lacks a way to mount to a surface -- so it just sort of floats around. So I'll probably find some double-sided tape to hold it in place.

Overall I'm very satisfied that this tiny and inexpensive unit works do well.

I wasn't expecting much for this tiny device. But I was surprised it could drive a pair of 100W speakers with just a 19V 4A laptop charger (I did not use the included power adapter), of course to just maybe half loudness. It fits perfectly for my office use where I need clarity for teleconferencing, music, at the near field and not at loud noise levels. I can not detect any hissing, static, or weird noises from my speakers from using this device, but I have not stress-tested it at max power yet. Music just sounds nice coming out of this setup, not any lesser than another setup I have using a Sonos Connect:Amp.

Completely blown away by this little amp. It's unbelievable to see a tiny form factor amp deliver sound of a hifi big amp. I was able to setup in no time. Tested with my Wharfedale tower 6 ohm speakers.
Sound is really lound and punchy. No humming, No hissing. Quick to connect to Bluetooth. Overall well pleased by the purchase. Truly hope this amp lasts long.

Excelente opción como amplificador miniatura, tiene bastante potencia out of the box.
