I ordered this item after comparing reviews and specs of all the available multi region players I could find. After putting this unit through the usual tests,I can actually make an assessment based upon years of home theater component installations. First,let me suggest that spending the few extra $'s on this model over the base models is well worth it,in my view. The remote is well designed and works great. Make sure if you buy this particular unit,you first connect it to the Internet via the LAN input. From there,your player will notify you that there is a firmware update available. This update will make the Amazon instant streaming available. The setup is easy. The directions are simple to understand. The player works so well that I can honestly say the playback quality is within the realm of some players costing 10 times as much,including my Oppo BD 93! I know Sony CS ranks as the worst,but for this price,you can't go wrong!
