'Need these for programmed watering of dry vegetation (dry, mowed, grass) in the vicinity of a rural structure for fire protection. The vegetation does not dry out during the night-time hours of no sunlight and higher relative humidity (think Haines Index of 2 or 3 if you're a wildland firefighter).So..... the required "Program" is an ON/OFF cycle starting in the morning and stopping in the evening.ONE of these timers cannot perform such a program or cycle by itself. You have to buy THREE of these timers in order to perform such a cycle.Solution: TWO timers, in parallel, one programmed for the max (6 hours) duration, starting at 0800 and the other programmed for max (6 hours) starting at 1400 will provide TWELVE hours of water flow. The THIRD time, in series with the two that are paralleled, modulates the water flow during the twelve hours in a cycle that's TWO minutes out of every FIVE minutes.See the diagram/photo for the connections involving "Y" adaptors, Male-Male and Female-Female hose connections. The final result is a 40% duty cycle (2 out of every 5 minutes) from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (NOT achievable with one, or even two timers)Result: 40% watering duration (2 minutes out of every 5 minutes) from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.Flammable vegetation dampened throughout dayligh/drying hours, without wasting water overnight.======== UPDATE ============Now just TWO to tango.Fire protection is now simplified by the use of a Yardeen timer for ON: 0800 ----- OFF: 2000**AND** theInstapark, programmed for a duration of 2 minutes and frequency of 5 minutes.By stacking the timers, as in the photo, there is a 40% (two min's out of every five) duty cycle on the sprinkler's protecting the structure during the daytime, dry, conditions, with the frequent ON/OFF (2 out of every 5 min's) controlled by the Instapark and the diurnal cycle (8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ON ===> to the Instapark) controlled by the Yardeen (which shuts down the water during the night-time when fire danger and drying conditions are such that the day's water application keeps the vegetation damp until the cycle resumes, the next day, at 8 a.m.

5.0 out of 5 stars extremely simple to program, works perfectly, amazing customer service
Reviewed in the United States on May 23, 2019
This seller is the best on AMAZON. ( period ) I had an initial issue, (self imposed I ultimately found out) and the seller of this product (Instapark) went way overboard in solving the issue. The product works spectacularly, but the seller, I can hardly believe how fast they replied to my initial inquiry and their resolution. Unbelievably good customer service. I highly recommend this seller...

The device itself is perfect for my application (daily one event watering with a "demand" over-ride)

PRO:
- so simple to program

- extremely accurate ( all digital)

- built-in instruction simply by the way it's designed (best I've ever seen and I don't see how to make it any better)

- over-ride programming for both rain and for "demand use"

- program allows for additional watering and you can set the interval and walk away

- simple single button press to turn on the water say for a hose *

* in my case, I use a water manifold, (see enclosed picture) so when I need the hose, I just press the button on the lower right. (press it again to turn it off or the timer will also run the programmed interval and shut off)

If I have any concerns about this device at all, it's that, "it's plastic at critical points." It hasn't been an issue but I would say you definitely wouldn't want to carelessly pull on the hose. I'm not about to "test stress" the two connection points (where the hose attaches and even more so, where the device attaches to the faucet - You can see in the picture how this could really risk some serious stress) I will be adding some stress protection. I really like this thing. I obviously don't want anything to happen to it.
