good sound from both micro sd and rca

good sound from both micro sd and rca
I ride different bikes on hard surface and soft surface trails, so my bike bounces around. I had speakers on my handlebars that shorted out from the abuse. I tried another speaker in this price range, but it wasn't loud enough and connected to my handlebars. I bought the Avantree knowing that I would have to dedicate a bottle cage to this speaker instead of hanging it from my handlebars. That's OK; it appears that placing the speaker in the cage is better for the wiring. I have had it a couple months and don't have any problems.I have several bikes, so I could not use the included bottle cage. The problem is that the Avantree speaker is smaller than a typical bike bottle. That means it will rattle in a bike bottle cage or fall out. I fixed this by inserting the speaker in a tall can cozie. This muffles the sound slightly, but I can always cut holes in the cozie. I have not had a problem with the speaker jumping out of the bottle cage, but, just to be sure, I use a velcro strap through the metal "loop" to secure the speaker to the cage (see picture).I first connected my mp3 player to the speaker with an rca cord and the sound quality was great. BUT, the cord connects at the bottom, so then I have to use a right angle jack to keep from breaking the cord. I didn't like that, so I bought a 32gb micro sd card. I loaded that with music and popped it in the slot on the bottom of the speaker. (NOTE: my computer does not recognize the micro sd card when it is in the speaker. I had to load the card separately.) The first time I loaded the music, the songs played in order by artist. I erased the card and reloaded the music without "using folder hierarchy." I made sure that I shuffled the songs before loading. It's great now.Having the control buttons on top is great, but they are hard to see. I wrote on them with metallic marker but it rubbed off. I wrote on them again with metallic nail polish which stayed on longer.Con: After about 2.8 hours at close to full volume, the music sporadically cuts out. I thought that the micro sd card was moving, but then I figured out that the battery was getting low. As I continue to use it, the music cuts out more often, several times during song depending on volume. Once the speaker needs to be charged, a friendly voice says "battery low. please, charge." BUT, this friendly reminder reminds me TOO OFTEN. On a bike ride, you can't just stop to plug in a speaker! I have decided to charge the speaker after each ride.
