1: press the unlock/lock button twice quickly to lock/unlock without the alarm chirp
2: to prevent the auto arm feature, either start the bike or with the alarm disarmed, press the disarm button again.
3: disarm the alarm before using auto start (I know, duh)
I'm leaving my 4 star rating because I had to figure out what the directions don't explain. My original review is below.
Nominal little 2-way system for $50 and now I can ride around town without keys and don't have to worry about someone stealing my bike from a parking lot. Shock sensor adjustability is marginal. Which is moot everywhere except my garage, where I don't need it to chirp when a bug lands on the number plate.
I definitely disliked the install. As well as the "auto arm" feature and wish there was a way to disable it. The remote start is useless as, unlike a car, you can't remote start, then turn on the key and jump on then leave. You have to kill the bike from the fob, then disarm, then start the bike from the bar controls within 10 seconds or so, or it will automatically rearm itself. It is not plug and play for me so it was pertenent to know theory of operation and amp ratings for the internal relay and I/O. It took me approx 2.5 hours to install mainly because it doesn't state anything explained below. I had to power it up and figure it out with a meter and roach clip jumpers. My bike did not have a key before this and automatically opens and closes the voltage regulator relay when the bike fires up.
Brown needs to go to the "acc" or "ign" or for me, on the switched side of the voltage regulator. Pink and gray wires are just an internal NC relay that opens when the system is armed and is triggered by the acc going high. I wired the AC side of my stator, that supplies power to the CDI through this relay. With the system armed, If someone tries to start it, the voltage regulator will enable and supply power to the brown wire of the alarm. it will then open the alarm's internal relay and disable power to the CDI, disabling the bike and sounding the 120dB siren. Both tuck nicely behind my number plate with the included sticky pad and some silicone.
Overall, if it lasts, I would likely repurchase just because it is cheaper than a name brand 2 way alarm. Then, just not bother with wiring in the remote start. I will test it later to see if I can disarm it before remote starting it. The directions are vague and obviously translated from another language so most of my findings are trial and error.
I don't know if I installed a weak battery and I'm only on my second battery now, but the first one only lasted a few weeks which was annoying.
Also, the battery door promptly fell off and is not lost.
I'm rigging it for use in my tractor trailer and I'm pretty sure it will work but the instructions require a magnifying glass and a high powered flashlight to read the paper 🤦♂️
What I don't like is the key learning but I can work around that its just an irritating thing to do.
Update: I think mines came in with no key learning required! 😎👍
I will still recommend it for anyone to buy just use common sense and be ready to squint 👀
Update: The sensitivity of it isn't as good as it should be but that's for my purpose of using it in my big rig and so I have to find a sweet spot for it so it can be triggerd by vibration or find a way to get it to trigger when the dome lights come on.
It does actually activate if the truck gets turned on but my plan is to get it to alert when vibration occurs.
The range is out of this world reaches deep into some very thick buildings but I use a loop antenna made by BuFang plan to use a 3 watt broadband amplifier passively to jack up the signal to hit me from 2-3 miles away.
Overall I love it! 😎👍
