      Prior to buying this set I had read some reviews and was somewhat unsure on what the quality would be like as well as if it was compatible with Thomas the Train. Overall I'd say the quality of this product is excellent and it is compatible with Thomas the Trains (the wooden railway trains).

      Now, it did take a solid 5 hours to assemble. I believe the quality of the final product is directly related to the time and effort spent following the instructions. It feels very sturdy and my only complaint would be the drawers. There is not a track that they roll on so I would imagine that if something breaks on this table it will be the drawer.

      Overall I think this is a great deal for the price (especially if you're a prime member). I'd highly recommend to anyone who is comparing this set to another.

      Ok so this train table... phew is it something. Haha putting it together is no easy task. I had so much difficulty. First the screws that were sent to me for the spiral bridge were defiantly not long enough. I had to go to my local hardware store and purchase longer ones. When I put the ones sent to me (b crews) through the red bridge piece they did not reach to the spiral track so it was just impossible to screw it together.

      after FINALLY getting the spiral track together I discovered the track wouldn't line up. This was my OWN mistake haha I accidentally has SB upside down. I guess I was just so frustrated and exhausted to realize this so I ended up taking it all apart and putting it together the opposite way which defiantly didn't work..so I had to re do it the correct way. Well by this time I had managed to strip the plastic and I completely ruined the spiral bridge.

      AFTER my like 1 hour crying/screaming/tantrum session (yes this happened..im not ashamed haha I thought I had just thrown $150 down the drain) I decided to call KidKraft customer service. To my surprise a real person answered the phone after maybe 3 rings. Yes a person...no automated anything. The lady was very nice and listened to everything I had to say. At this time I did not realize I was in the wrong and my SB piece was upside down. But she was very very nice and did not say anything like "oh its your fault" or " YOU must have messed up". She apologized and said she would send out new parts. I received them within 3-4 days.

      I still received the same too short (B) screws...maybe I am just stupid but they were just too short. I ended up using the ones I purchased separately but other than that everything was great!!!

      Now that the table is all put together my son and I both love it!! I was confused because the track just sits on top of the table. It is not screwed down or anything, but its still very fun to play with. I suppose if you wanted to, you could nail it down or something.

      I purchased this trainset for a christmas gift for my son AND I still havent figured out how to put it together! Its January 29th! I want to send it back but I already assembled the actual train table. Its the tracks and all the small pieces that are difficult to figure out. I think pieces are missing. The tracks will not stay together. The instructions show which tracks to assemblem by letter...for example...track A connects with track B however NONE of the tracks are have letters on them!! This is very frustrating! I want to scream! I do not reccomend you buy this! The train table itself is easy to assemble and very sturdy but everything after that is dissapointing! So very upset I waisted money on this!

      My Kid loves this toy and its the second Kidkraft toy we have (as well the car garage). I gave it 4 stars because of the assembly. You will notice in the reviews, people commonly refer to "parts breaking". Thats because this and the other Kidkraft product requires hours (if not a full days labor for assembly). Its painstaking and if you don't do it right you will wear out the pieces (screw holes etc.), you only get one chance. This product is assembled not for the end consumer but to fit into tight spaces on a shipping vehicle. Even the cheap foam used breaks up everywhere (be sure to open it outside or you will be cleaning up tiny white pieces of foam for weeks). Once setup the product is great and provides hours of fun. Owh and buy a thomas train to go with it

      This train table is worth every penny! We got it for our little man for Christmas and it is something that not only looks great, but is well constructed and will last a long time! The assembly of the table itself is quick and easy! The one complaint - not really even a complaint - is the assembly of the top pieces and track itself. It is just time consuming and the directions aren’t extremely clear. But overall, I would high recommend to anyone looking for a toy that will last them a long time!

      I bought this train table for my two year old son for Christmas and it was absolutely amazing!! It was built very strong and easy to put together! I have bought a lot of merchandise and had to put it together and this was by far the easiest and not flimsy wanna be wood! The drawers are amazing to have and my son loves it! The only thing that would make it better was that the tall supports for the raised tracks were a little tedious to put together but other than that I highly highly recommend this product! And it was cheaper than buying it at toys r us.

      There is definitely a reason why this train take is in the lower price range for train tables. It's cheap material. It comes scuffed up. The image doesn't line up. The trains and track vehicles barely stay on the track it self. I had to glue alot of stuff in play so my 3 yr old can enjoy it without everything coming apart.

      All in all, for the kids, who don't know much, I'm sure will enjoy this table, and it's going to get used and abused over the course of its life so the scuff marks and paint chips aren't a huge deal, but don't expect something high quality when buying this.

      It was easy to put together so that wasn't any issues. I wouldn't really recommend this train table to someone but for a budget train table it will suffice.
