C. No sound from "SPDIF" port
1. Set the audio format to PCM of your input source.

D. There is audio, but there will be hissing sound.
Noise is generally interference.
1. Change an hdmi cable with a magnetic ring or keep it away from wireless devices such as routers.
2. The power supply or hdmi cable is unstable, or the power amplifier speaker is very sensitive to current, we recommend that you use another pair of headphones to have a try.

Here is how it works:
-Take box and plug it in for power.
-Plug HDMI of your device, in this case Amazon TV, to the HDMI input of the device.
-Plug in a separate HDMI in to that Output of your device with the last end going to your new TV.
-Then, plug your toslink in to theOutput of the device and the other end in to the intput
of your inegreated amp.
Sound is robust and excellent. A real winner here! One quick note, when I started one of my movies, there was only noise and no audio. It turned out on Apple it needs to be in Stereo mode if you are doing two channel. That made everything all better,
If you are moving video or image files from a Mac computer, be aware that the player will register a duplicate "dummy" unreadable file for every viable one. Musou support was able to show me how to "program out" this glitch using the Terminal application on my iMac by referring me to an Apple Support blog piece. The fix worked great, but Musou should disclose this in their instructions and manual since so many users have Mac devices.
The tiny manual sent with the player is also almost impossible to read. Fortunately, tech support can send you the URL address to see it more clearly online.
I now have thousands of videos and pictures downloaded on my Transcend one TB portable hard drive that works great using the Musou player, all connected to my inexpensive Roku smart TV, that has a great Toslink audio link to my home stereo system. For a total of about $200 I have built a great home theatre system with a good size screen TV, viable and easy to use media player, and wonderful sound system.
I was excited because it was really quick to install and I was ready to listen to some music. Let me give a brief explanation of why I bought this product. I have a Chromecast connected to an HDTV however when I want to listen to just audio I have to power on the television which has separate RCA outputs connected to a 2.1 Polk audio system. I obviously don't want the TV on for hours if I'm just listening to music. And here is where the audio extractor comes in. My brilliant idea was to push out the audio from the extractor directly to the Polk audio system bypassing the television. The concept was sound unfortunately when I connected this device I no longer got an image on the TV through the HDMI bypass port. if I remove the Chromecast and connect it directly to the TV everything works correctly if I run it through the audio extractor the picture was sporadic almost as if the HDMI port on the device was damaged. Wiggling the HDMI cable periodically brought the image to life. This was a disappointment as I had taken it directly out of the box and installed it. Again I can't say that all of their devices are defective and of poor quality but the one I received certainly was. I returned the product and I'm looking for a different solution. So my advice is beware and make sure to read all of the reviews and see if others I have experienced the same results that I have.
