The only thing we didn't like is that the interior of the case is plastic molded which is okay, except due to the overall weight of the product, the light plastic took a beating during shipping. Carrying the case will reveal the quality of the chips inside—it's heavy. We were able to straighten the tray out and pull out the kinks for the most part. The outside of the case is beautiful and our kids joke about bringing the chips and case into a room with handcuffs on them.
We haven't touched the included cards as I am picky about cards and prefer my own Bicycle brand. But as I looked at these for an honest, hard critique, they look almost indistinguishable from the Bicycle 808s with the notable exception being these cards have a slight gloss to the faces.
I can't dock any stars as I got what I wanted, top-quality playing chips. The case while nice—being flawless wasn't on my list of needs for this price point. Most people looking up close even would barely notice the plastic molding.

I am a complete novice. I have never played in a casino and I wanted a set of chips to learn & play poker and host a home tourney. I did not inspect every single chip with scrutiny. But I was impressed with the feel and quality of these chips. At first glance, the colors looked VERY muted, but as it happens the plastic wrapping they come in is part of that appearance. (it's true, you'll spend nearly 30 minutes unwrapping everything!)
Other reviews were accurate, though - chip color isn't quite as vibrant as the Amazon photo suggests ... the chips have a bit more "matte" dull appearance, but not terribly so. And it turns out this is a good thing because the finish of the chips prevents them from being too slippery with enough grip.
Chip edges are fine on my set with no 'thumbnails' or molding protrusions that needed to be trimmed away. The sticker/decal in the center appears to be adhered and positioned well, and the gold detail in the label adds a nice touch. The weight, feel, and sound is better than I expected for hosting my home games - I'm not trying to be the Bellagio here. In the end, I would guess this is a nice middle-of-the-road set of chips - they're not the cheapest garbage out there, and not the nicest casino-grade stuff - a great balance.
What IS garbage, though, is this case ... everyone was right. Mine did not come damaged in any way, so it is still useable, but the handle and handle attachment is suspect and I wouldn't trust it for carrying the set around to other locations. I'd call this a "storage box" more than a carry case, and I'll use it that way at home until I replace it at some point when I need to travel with my chips. To do this, I purchased a set of 10 clear chip trays for under $15 which stack when filled for storage, taking up less closet space at home. (pictured)
The cards are also some of the cheapest I've seen, so I subbed in my own Bicycle sets.
The cut cards (plastic cards used for cutting the deck) are thin plastic with one glossy side and one textured side, which is okay but they just feel cheap. I've never played with cut cards, so I don't have a good comparison here.
The dealer and blind buttons are okay and are totally usable, but my dealer button had very little ink in the "DEALER" recess and looks cheap & faded. I'll probably fill that in with a simple paint pen at some point.
So why did I give this set 4/5 stars? I bought it for the chips and I feel like they alone are the value of this set. The other stuff is just convenient ancillary items you may want for hosting a game. I wish the case would have been nicer, too, but I don't plan to travel my set around much. I'll probably buy more of these chips in the future without the case, since you can find them sold separately in individual denominations for about $13 per 50 pack which makes it easy to build a set from scratch or augment an existing set.
