I've been debating on picking up the Little Snowie for some time now, and finally decided to pull the trigger instead of buying a cheaper machine.
Texture, not quite like snow, but very close. Maybe twice the thickness of snow, most other machines seem to be about 10x the thickness of snow. So while not quite as good as fresh snow, it's very close, and beats out any other machine that I've seen. This is probably every bit as good as the professional machines, but doesn't require the use of custom ice molds.

Overall I love the product and would highly recommend it if you're interested in doing snow cones or slushies. My favorite thing to do with it is grab a cup of ice, dump it in, grind the ice (red dixie cups work great, my other cups have smaller rims that don't quite fill up the space and result in ice spewing out a little). It's crazy fast and easy to use, within about 10 seconds it will grind my glass of ice into snow, then I pour my favorite Orange Juice brand into the snow, and I get a nice Orange Slushie (one of my favorite things). But it doesn't require any prep-work, just grind and go, I love it.
Cleanup is a breeze, I basically just let it air dry. The snow quickly melts and drips off, then just let it dry it out on the counter, if you wanted to speed up the process simply wiping it down with a dry towel would do the trick.
The only real downside to this machine is how loud it is. It is extremely loud, but only for a few seconds, then you're done. I don't find the noise to be a huge issue, but it would be nice if they could insulate the sound a little so it isn't quite so loud.
That being said, I would highly recommend it, even at the seemingly expensive price. The ease of use and convenience make it worth the price for me. And while it is made primarily out of plastic, there is nothing that feels weak or like it would break anytime soon. I plan on getting regular use out of mine for a long time to come.
If you're sitting on the fence, debating on getting this product or possible one of the less expensive products that sounds similar, then hopefully this review will help you decide on which way to go. I don't think you will regret picking up the little snowie, but you may regret picking up the cheaper competitor products once you see first hand how large the ice grinds are.

Snow days in the summer!
My area of the Southeast did not see a single snow flake this year. I was so disappointed that I decided to manufacture my own snow. After reading blogs and reviews, I settled for shelling out the money for this beautiful machine. I was honestly expecting to have to return it. I already have crushed ice from my refrigerator, and I was expecting an over-hyped machine that just made finer crushed ice. Nope. This little puppy makes SNOW! Just get the ice from your ice dispenser, in any shape or form, pour it into the top of this machine, press the lid down, and BAM! Snow! My husband has been raving about it. We’ve made smoothies with it (stirring it in. DON’T put smoothie ingredients in the machine! Just ice!), made snow cones for the kids, iced coffee, snow cream, etc. It has been used multiple times a day since I got it three days ago.My only complaint is I don’t like the syrups that come with it. I bought the machine along with the adorable cups, the snow shovel spoons (I mean, really. How cute is that?!), the syrup bottles, and the syrup mixes. It’s WELL worth the extra money to get all the accessories. If you’re going to shell out the money for the machine, go all out and get the accessories. Anyway, I’ve made the watermelon and grape flavors so far, and they taste like flavored medicines. I don’t think the syrups taste good at all, and neither do my kids. Easily fixed with some cheap Koolaide packets, though. I also grow my own fruit, so well be making our own strawberry, blueberry, and watermelon syrups from our garden. Just FYI on that, always mix your sugar and water or sugar and milk in a pot over medium heat to make a smooth consistency and not end up with a sugar grit syrup.Above all, this machine is wondrous! It’s safe with no sharp blades waiting to chop off small, curious hands. It’s fast. It makes actual snow. It is loud, but who cares? I’m a happy customer!
