The Cuisinart Mini-Prep food processor stands 8 inches tall and just over 4 inches wide, but don't let the size fool you. The base houses a motor so powerful that you need to stabilize it with one hand when using the high setting to whip up a strawberry-banana smoothie for one in less than a minute. The clear plastic prep bowl locks into place with a simple twist, while the blades can be set sharp side up for chopping onions or grating Parmesan cheese, or turned blunt side up for making walnut pesto or whipping up chocolate frosting. The set includes a spatula and a cleaning brush to remove coffee grounds.
For best results, cut ingredients into small, even pieces--about 1/2-inch square or so works well. In general, use the sharp-edge approach for low speed and the blunt side of the blades for high speed. If you need to run the motor for longer than one minute, pause and begin again. The bowl, cover, and blade assembly can all be run through the dishwasher, but watch your fingers when dissembling the machine, as the blades are extremely sharp. --Irene Svete

My wife and I absolutely love this 14-Cup Cuisinart Food Processor. We have been improving our cooking and this 14-Cup Cuisinart Food Processor. We chose it because it was recommended by Cooks Illustrated/America’s Test Kitchen, who we really trust and rely on for information and recommendations.
We have used this 14-Cup Cuisinart Food Processor to slice, chop and puree and it works like a charm, making quick work of anything and everything we put into it. It has several safety features to keep it from running unless the bowl and lid are properly attached. If you don’t attach both the bowl and lid it will not operate.
The blades are sharp and easy to clean. There are two different sized feed chutes/plungers and 2 slicing disks along with the cutting blade. The pluse switch is very responsive and works great.
This 14-Cup Cuisinart Food Processor is something needed in every kitchen and is excellent.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 6, 2017Size: 14-CupColor: Stainless SteelVerified Purchase"Oh, I don't need a food processor. I love to chop things by hand! And really, my cheap, tiny blender does just about any job a food processor could do. It's not worth the money!" This has been my mantra for years.
Oh, what a fool I was. What a fool!
A food processor is such a magical device. You can do things with it that are impossible to do without it!
Have you heard of cashew cream sauce? It's fabulous. You soak about two cups of cashews in water for 2 hours, drain and rinse them well, and then toss them in your food processor with a clove or two of peeled garlic, about 2/3 cup of water, and about a teaspoon or so of salt, to taste. Press the power on, and in seconds, you have smooth-bodied, flavourful dip that is extremely versatile. From there, it's all up to your imagination! Add some nutritional yeast to make it taste nice and cheesy, with just a pinch of paprika to bring out those cheesy notes, and serve it with tortilla chips. Or how about a bit of curry powder and some basil to serve with pita chips as a sweet, curry-style dip? Or perhaps you'll use some herbs and pour it over pasta, for a new twist on "lazy pasta night"?
Maybe you're no fan of that idea. Well then, how about making pesto right in your own home? Those tiny bottles in the grocery are never as good as the stuff as you can get in a nice restaurant, and they can be damned pricey for such mediocre flavour. Make it yourself, and be amazed!
Or what about hummus? You can use a method by Kenji Lopez-Alt over at SeriousEats to make tahini sauce with garlic and lemon that makes for a FANTASTIC base for the best hummus of your life (made with, I suggest, the best on the market, and available also here on Amazon: Soom Foods Pure Ground Sesame Tahini 11oz (2 Pack))! Sabra has got NOTHING on homemade hummus.
There's also the sheer joy of buying nuts in bulk, knowing that you're saving quite a bit of money tossing them into your food processor to get chopped rather than buying them pre-chopped. Or you can quickly chop toppings for a salad. There's a lot of chopping this thing can handle that you might not care to handle yourself!
Or, how about this: the best homemade ice cream you've ever had? It's simple; make your custard-style base (I recommend Jeni Britton Bauer's method, Google it or pick up her book here: Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams at Home), freeze it overnight in a big gallon freezer bag laid out flat, and the next day, break it into pieces to throw into your food processor. Then you can whip it to a gorgeous creamy state, add in some flavourings, pour into an ice cream container, and freeze; voila! The best homemade ice cream you've EVER had - guaranteed better than storebought, that's for sure, and a lot healthier, since you're in total control of what goes in it. :)
And I'm sure before I even began to write this review, you had your own ideas. Nut butters? Certainly! How about dough? It can do it! Grating cheese? Well, I prefer an old-fashioned box grater, but if you're tired of washing that ol' beast, absolutely, go for one of these! There's just so many wonderful things you can do with this gorgeous machine; and it's outrageously simple to handle. I've seen a great many food processors in family homes; they're awkward, they're cumbersome, and they're very noisy. This isn't whisper-silent, but I can safely use it all hours of the night without losing a finger or waking my sleeping household.
Now, I must confess I've had precisely one point of frustration with it since I bought it: I opened it up, threw in an ingredient, put the top back on, hit the "ON" button, and.. nothing. I was dumbfounded. Why isn't this brand new machine working?
Turns out, it was a safety feature! I hadn't secured the top, so it didn't come on. And thank goodness! I would've had a big mess on my hands. Knowing that it will simply not turn on if I don't have the top fastened on correctly is a comfort to me; I can get to work and not worry about double-checking that I've put everything back in place just so, and I can trust little ones to put things into it without worrying that they'll get over-excited to turn it on and send ingredients flying around my kitchen! And it's so simple to put together and take apart once you take a few minutes to handle it first-hand.
This is a wonderful machine to aid the home cook, and I believe if you've made it this far in my review, you know I'm right. You deserve this. It'll take a special position in your kitchen, just like a KitchenAid; in fact, a KitchenAid and this food processor have a constant presence on my countertop. If you love to cook, and you love to explore new techniques and recipes, then I beg of you; do yourself a big favour and get this today!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 29, 2024Size: 2.63 CupColor: Stainless SteelVerified PurchaseI have long been a fan of Cuisinart food processors. I have one of the old school 14 cup ones from around 1995. It is my go to for large batches of soup or bread etc. I also own a Kitchenaid 14 cup. But I prefer the Cuisinart over the newer Kitchenaid model. The Kitchenaid has a 7 cup option that I do use sometimes for smaller things, but it is just not as strong as the older Cuisinart. I think the blades on the old Cuisinarts were higher quality than newer stuff as well. So it is a keeper. But this little unit is just right for chopping nuts, dried fruit anything you might do in a small batch. And super easy cleanup. Not a lot of fussing like with the larger units. It is small and takes up little space. I bought it for so many uses but, the one thing I did first was to puree some shredded meat canned cat food into a puree for my cats. One of them is getting old and doesn't like to chew the chunks. So this made that an easy job. And just a quick rinse with soapy water and it was ready for the next project. I like that it has two speeds and that you can pulse it, which is pretty typical. It is easy to use and looks nice. For this price why buy and off brand? Good warranty as well. You can't go wrong. But it is small. So make sure you understand it is for very small batches..
- Reviewed in the United States on February 5, 2025Size: 14-CupColor: Stainless SteelVerified PurchaseThis is a very impressive machine indeed. Very powerful and quiet at the same time. I use it for shredding cabbage and cheese primarily, but I am going to experiment with shredding pork and beef for barbecue. I also bought the blade storage unit to go along with it. Please be aware that this is a very heavy unit, and if you have room, put it on a counter that doesn’t have an overhead cabinet so you don’t need to move it every time you use it.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 11, 2025Size: 11-CupColor: WhiteVerified PurchaseI've only used the processor one time so far. It is surprisingly heavy, 17 lbs. I figured out how to assemble it pretty quickly but the instructions are lacking in this regard. I sliced carrots and sausage links with the 4 mm slicer. It sliced very well, but thinner than I would normally use. For something like soup, these 4 mm slices of veggies are too thin for my liking. Im writing this review primarily because I want to now purchase a larger mm slicer, but there are none for this processor. Wish I would have known this before ordering. It is powerful but not horribly loud. Plastic bowl seems durable, but the little pieces of plastic that form the lock in the cover with large feed tube, and that have to lock onto work bowl for processor to turn on, the plastic looks thin and not substantial. I'll come back here in a few months to update my review if warranted. Being that this is so highly rated I suppose I'll keep it.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 3, 2025Size: 7-CupColor: WhiteVerified PurchaseThis is my second Cuisinart food process. The first one lasted over twenty years with at least twice weekly use. I expect this one to preform just as well. I like to make pizza dough in it, as well as, chopping nuts and veggies. I have never had any motor issues or any problems with the plastics pieces cracking or breaking. It is a solid little machine. All the parts are dishwasher safe.

5.0 out of 5 stars Does everything you would want
Size: 14-CupColor: BlackVerified PurchaseThis is great for making pizza dough to pureeing soups - mine quit after 35 years - this is the same!

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple but obvious leader and choice
Size: 11-CupColor: WhiteVerified PurchaseNo blister switches to crack and fail, all the power you need and consistent slicing. America Test Kitchen top pick, I can see why. I liked our prior Cuisinart unit but thus unit is smaller footprint and all the performance.

5.0 out of 5 stars Product not for 220V
Size: 11-CupColor: WhiteVerified PurchaseThe product is probably great, but I haven't had the chance to try it because it is not adapted for the EU market. I couldn't plug it in, so unfortunately I had to return it

5.0 out of 5 stars EL MEJOR PROCESADOR DE ALIMENTOS

5.0 out of 5 stars Buen aparato
