- Reviewed in the United States on December 31, 2013I have six new trees in the yard I had to wrap for the Colorado winter. I admit when I first saw the tree wrap I had a small pang of "I paid how much for this?" but once I had it opened and got my hands on it I realized it's actually a very nice product. It's light in hand which belies the sturdiness, I wasn't overly gentle with my wrapping and had no mishaps or tears, it's tough! I have everything wrapped now and will update this review if I find any anomalies in the spring.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 7, 2013This is the only tree wrap that I use. I tried others, but they fall apart. This doesn't. It stays in place and protects trees from rodents in the winter and sun scald in the summer. Even better, it comes in 150 foot rolls so goes a very long way. It's easy to wrap, and because of the color, it looks just like the tree trunk. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to protects his trees.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 27, 2013We have a problem with cankerworms where I live, where flightless moths crawl up our hardwood trees to lay their eggs in the fall. In the spring, the eggs hatch and the little inchworms descend by the millions on long, sticky strands of silk. There is no way to eradicate them without an airplane, so we're going the prevention route instead. We wrapped our six willow oaks in this tree wrap, then coated it in a slathering of Tanglefoot to catch the critters on their way up (I attached a photo demonstrating the result).
The generous 150' rolls were enough to do 3-4 large trees three times around each. With two of us, it took about an hour to wrap all six trees, carefully stapling it into all the nooks and crannies. I was amazed how the wrap didn't tear when we slammed it repeatedly with a Hammer Tacker Stapler. However, it was easy to cut with scissors when we were done with a tree. If we didn't have to slather it in sticky tanglefoot, which will gather hundreds of moths before the season's end, I could imagine easily being able to re-use this paper.
The Tanglefoot, which has the consistency of very thick caramel, did its best to pull against this tree wrap while we were slathering it on with a paint stirrer, but it held up extremely well.
This could have been an exceedingly unpleasant project with a lesser quality tree wrap, but after this experience I will never use anything else.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 10, 2016Exactly what I was expecting and hoping for in a really big roll! This is the same product recommended to me when I bought a young Imperial Locust tree several years ago. I was told to stake the tree and wrap it each winter until the bark became rough and textured (mature tree). When I had the tree trimmed this spring the arborist suggested I remove the stakes but continue wrapping the trunk for a few more years. So every Halloween the trunk gets wrapped and each Easter the wrapping comes off. This roll of tree wrap is huge; about double the size of the two rolls I got with the tree. It may just see me through to the last winter this tree needs to be wrapped.
The outside of the paper is, well, paper. There's a very thin coating of some sort of plastic on the inside -- this keeps the paper intact through 5+ months of cold, snow, and whipping winds.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 11, 2012Initially it seems like this wrapping is too thin but you can't judge a book by its cover. On our half acre, we have planted numerous types of trees. We lost the bananana trees last year because we DIDN'T wrap them. This year, we wrapped about 15 trees, including the banana trees, and they are all doing just fine. And this wrap is easy to apply, hold in place, and reusable!
