I bought this scale in January of 2021 after our 24 weeker came home from the NICU (it’s now April 2025). It was great for making sure she was consistently gaining weight and gave me peace of mind. This is hands down one of the best purchases we’ve made and an item we still use to this day. Weighing her as a baby was super easy, especially with the zero out button, we could lay a towel or light blanket down first. Eventually we took the baby part off and she could stand on it as a toddler, now as a preschooler. It is also PERFECT for packages! I use it for my business to weigh boxes before shipping and it is right on with the post office’s scale. It’s durable, easy to store, quick read so baby doesn’t have to be perfectly still for long, and wipes down easy. And it’s a cute shape. 10/10 recommend!

This scale ensures accurate weight measurement with a Hold feature that captures an average reading when the baby may be active and moving on the scale, as well as a Zero Out feature that accounts for extra weight attributed to diaper, clothing or blanket (Registers weight in half-ounce increments).

As your child grows, the tray is removable and the scale converts into a teddy bear design with a capacity of up to 60 lbs.
Operating the Scale:
Place the scale on flat, level surface. A hard surface, such as a tile or linoleum floor, is the best for maximum accuracy. If the scale is placed on a soft, deep rug, then it may not produce accurate results. Once the scale is placed on an appropriate surface, press On/Off and wait for the display to show zeros. If the display shows '0:0', the scale is set to pounds/ounces; if the display shows '0.00' the scale is set to kilograms/grams. Press the lb/kg button to select between pounds or kilograms.
The scale can be operated with or without the tray. When using the tray, make sure that it is securely locked into place before placing your baby on the scale. Simply lay your baby on the tray and read the display. To use the scale without the tray, you'll need to remove the tray by turning the locking nut clockwise. The tray is replaced by four rubber plugs and a supplied plastic cover tab. Once the cover is in place, hold your baby upright on the scale, and place the baby's feet so that the weight is evenly distributed.

Great for monitoring pet weight
Crazy cat mom & also a veterinarian. Bought this scale many years ago (2014) after one of my own kitties became diabetic and I had to closely track his weight at home (wish I had been tracking sooner!) Almost 10 years later it's still holding up great. It takes a 9v battery and I only remember changing it once this whole time, though it may have been twice. Scale was accurate compared to the scales at work and actually more stable. My boys love hanging out in it and it doesn't tip even when they sit on the overhang. It has a removable "bed" that locks to the base (little twist lock in the center) to secure them together so it's easy to pick up and move all together compared to the ones that just sit on top. And for squirmy pets (or kids I imagine) it has a "hold" function which will lock in the average weight if they won't sit still long enough to get a good reading. It can be helpful to smear a small bit of their favorite soft food or treat on one end to get them to sit still also. Kitties are great at hiding illness. If you're a kitty parent, one of the easiest, cheapest ways to catch health problems early is by monitoring weight. Weight loss is one of the first signs of many medical issues and it's not always easy to tell; even as a vet, my own boy lost almost 2# before I realized it! Get a baby scale and make it a habit to check weights at least every few months! Set it up on a stable stand or dresser with a small blanket or towel, maybe near a window with a good view, and it can double as an extra kitty bed/perch too 😻
