Product Description

50 MBSC Pet Scale and Baby Scale now upgraded. The Ultrascale MBSC-55 has a 55 pound capacity, five pounds more than the Ultrascale MBSC 50. Easily convert the ULTRASCALE MBSC 55 from baby scale or pet scale to postal scale to food scale to animal scale. The ULTRASCALE MBSC-55 is the ultimate electronic scale for home or a small business. In use as an infant scale or a postage scale, the MBSC electronic scale meets your needs for humans, pets or packages up to 55 pounds. My Weigh scale includes baby basket, regular tray, letter holder, mail tube holder and base extension for larger packages. The wide angle LCD with flexible cord has a detachable, wall mountable readout for mounting on office or nursery wall. The HOLD feature lets you lock in a weight while infant, kitten or puppy is moving. The TARE feature lets you zero out the weight of a tray or clothing. Adjustable automatic off times saves batteries. For use as a pet scale or baby scale, the last-unit-memory holds weight in pounds or kilograms mode, which ever was the last weighing mode. So if you set the electronic scale to pounds mode and turn it off, the scale will read in pounds when turned on. The HOLD feature on the MBSC 50 lets you get a fixed reading on a squirming baby or animal. Place Infant or animal on the basket, wait for a stable "moment" and then press the HOLD key. The weight remains fixed on the display until cleared. Four weighing modes let you easily convert grams, kilograms, pound/ounces or pounds. My Weigh Model MBSC 55 Scale Features: Huge 55.0 lbs. 24.95 kilograms capacity. Accuracy: +- 0.1oz, 0.005lb or 0.002kg, 2.0g. Construction: Water resistant, extra durable design. Useful for monitoring weight and doing weighted feeds
I bought this as I was triple feeding my baby and didn't want to keep going to the IBCLC for frequent check ups. I bought it when 2wks pp and now little one is a little over 2 months. Still having issues with not transferring enough but hopefully that will change soon as ties were revised. I recommend this scale to anyone. My IBCLC came over and we compared her scale to ours and it was the same. Only complaint is if you have a wiggle worm you'll have to guess what the weight is.

I hesitated to order this product because of some of the concerns from previous reviews. The scale just arrived and I am "very" happy to say-they now have added a back light option to the display that can be turned off and on. Mine came already turned on-and the weight shows up in black with a bright blue back light it is VERY easy to read this scale now. Some one else had said they didn't like the fact that weight did not come off the screen after weighing an item and they had to turn the scale off and on again to get the current weight off the display. I am not sure if this is something they fixed or if that person just didn't read the instructions on the scale. This scale has settings you can set it to keep the current weight shown for 120 seconds if you like or turn that feature off. I didn't change any of the factory settings on mine-and I just finished weighing all 12 of my puppies-the weight stayed on the screen just long enough for me to remove the puppy from the scale and write the weight down, by the time I picked the next puppy up the scale had already reset to zero. If I were to complain about anything I'd have to complain about the instructions to put the scale together-they are horrible! It is just a diagram with no written instructions. The problem I had is this scale can be set up in a few different manners-evidently you can set it up to remove the curved tray leaving a flat surface so you can also use it as a postal scale or you screw the curved tray into the top of the scale permanently. I set mine up permanent as I already have a postal scale. But that did leave me with a couple of parts left over-one of which I have no idea what it is or if it attaches to the scale? It appears to be some type of file or clipboard holder or something? I am so glad I choose this scale as I love the various weight options and choices. It's very easy to use and read and it is much larger then my previous scale. IMHO for the money you can't beat this scale. I saw quite a few double this price that didn't meet my needs nearly as well.

I bought one to weigh my first baby and its accuracy is impressive, especially given its low cost. I have high accuracy weight standards so I know that this scale is accurate and repeatable, all the way from 0 to 55 lbs. I gave away the scale to my winery friend to use in his wine lab.
Then another baby came, so I bought another one. Love this scale!

We ordered this to be able to accurately monitor our two big kitties. Our older cat is almost 19 lbs & the younger one is 17 lbs. the older boy has kidney issues so monitoring weight regularly is important. Scale appears accurate and is very sturdy. The surface is smooth and slightly curved at the sides for safety. Both my cats fit on it fine & just sit down (well usually..😉). The read out is very clear and easy to read, even if they are moving around. I would imagine it would be fine for babies as well, who aren’t as likely to jump off the scale when we are done. The base is very stable and doesn’t move around on the counter, even when the cats do jump off. The only challenge was figuring out some of the parts as the directions are … well pretty much non existent. Most of it is obvious , however the parts to use for the mail attachments are not mentioned in the directions, but having used an actual mail scale I knew what they had to be. On the other hand, I didn’t buy it for that function; that’s just a bonus if I want to get an idea of how much a package weighs, and I wouldn’t rely on it it actually buy postage for a package anyway. We have had it a few months at this point & are quite satisfied.

I am very happy with this purchase for weighing a couple cats.

It reatedly displays the same weight for a given test object, and since my goal is to measure weight change as opposed to absolute weight accuracy that is all i need.

It may have excellent absolute accuracy too, but I do not have an easy way to test that and am not motivated to do it anyway since I am interested in week to week change of the cats weight.

Scale is easy to use, and I like the illuminated detachable display even though for my purposes I do not detach it.

The auto off feature is usful too since without it I am sure I would have run the batteries by now.

The installation instructions could have been a little clearer. When trying to access the battery compartment I managed to remove the base instead and a mouinting nut went loose and rattled within the scale. That is probably why the base was pre-mounted unlike the picture in the instructions. I had to remove the rubber feet to get at the screws that allowed me to open the unit and remove the loose nut. Annoring, but maybe partly my fault for not being a little more careful initially.

In spite of my assembly adventure i am VERY HAPPY with the scale and woulf gladly buy it again. it is perfect for my needs and very easu\y to use.

It appeared after we got the scale that it requires 4 C-batteries which took some time to find and costed 7.59, so the item price is really more than it shown because AC adapter is also costs additional money. Usually such parts are included. That was a real disappointment as I wasted time to find batteries.

Frankly speaking the scale a good in use changing lb/oz to Kg/g just by 1 click to special button. The weight is indicated one and the same in all attempts - it is a feature of professional equipment. The table is rather big and strong and has a soft washable pad for a baby. It also has some special additional tables for small packages, letters or bottles to transform scale to correspondence or parcel use, if need be.

Precision is excellent (1-2g) but only when the load up to 1kg, Loading 1-25 kg the precision appears the same as in competitive models (10g), which cost approx. $25 less, but they don't have above-mentioned advantages.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolut zufrieden!
Reviewed in Germany on October 30, 2010

Bought this to weigh my premie babies feeds. He always needs "topping up" with milk after. The scale lets me know how much of the difference he needs to make up for. The scale in the NICU is accurate to the nearest ml (or gram). This scale goes by 10 ml increments. Not as accurate as the hospital, but I'm told those scales are thousands of dollars.
The scale has saved me prescious breastmilk because I only heat up what I need. It's saved me from having a fussy/too hungry baby as well
