Use with any of the Energizer Recharge batteries for the economical way to long-lasting power for all your electronic devices. Some usage tips from the user manual: • Ensure that batteries are inserted correctly to match polarity marks (+ and -) • When charging only 2 batteries, place both batteries in the left or right positions (see image in manual) • Charger is intended to be in a vertical or floor mount position • Never plug battery chargers into an extension cord • Best used with Energizer NiMH batteries

I’ve been using the Energizer Recharge Value Charger for a few months now, and it’s been a solid investment. It charges both AA and AAA NiMH batteries (I’ve used both types), and I love that it comes with 4 pre-charged AA batteries right out of the box—very plug-and-play.

Charging time is around 4–5 hours, which isn’t the fastest, but it’s completely fine for overnight charging or casual use. The LED indicator is basic but effective: red for charging, green when done. Nothing fancy, but it does the job well.

The built-in foldable plug is a nice touch—makes storage a bit easier when traveling or packing it away. And I appreciate the auto shut-off feature, which gives peace of mind that I’m not overcharging or damaging the batteries.

One small note: it doesn’t charge batteries individually—you need to charge 2 or 4 at a time. That’s not a dealbreaker for me, but good to know in advance.

All in all, this is a dependable and affordable option if you use a lot of AA or AAA batteries around the house. I’ve already saved money by not buying disposables.

These batteries are extremely useful and convenient. I play a lot of VR games and was getting tired of having to change out the batteries once a week. Over time, that can become a weekly expense of getting new batteries. So when I found these rechargeable batteries, I knew I needed them.
Energizer is a trustworthy brand and knew I can trust their quality. These double AA batteries are of excellent quality and can hold a charge for about 3 days of constant use. It comes with a wall charger that can charge all four batteries at once in a matter of hours. The wall charger does have a hard time staying in the wall socket since it is only one prong and with all the batteries in it, it can get heavy. I had to put the charger on a power strip so i can lay down instead of hang out the wall.
Another critique to note is that once you charge the batteries enough times, it starts dying much quicker. Now it has been a couple of years since I purchased these and I am only now noticing a difference in battery life. This was to be expected but I appreciate how long they have lasted so far.
Overall a good set of rechargeable batteries from a great brand at an awesome price!

I thought it didn’t include the batteries so I actually bought them separately too. The item description could be clearer on that aspect. It was a nice surprise when I opened the amazon package for about a minute, until I realized I could have saved $15 if the description included that piece of information.

I’m giving them a 5 because: 1- the charger works and 2- the batteries…are batteries that charge. Saves me from holding onto old, dead batteries because of being too lazy to dispose of them properly and too right minded to throw them in the trash. Guilt & shame are my most hated emotions, so I’m hyper vigilant about not doing things that cause me negative feelings of guilt or shame.

I will die on the hill that rechargeable batteries are an excellent investment when you need standard batteries. I find that they don’t always last as long off of a single charge as disposable batteries do for their whole lifetime, but that is made up for easily by the fact that you can just recharge them over and over instead of throwing them away every time. They tend to power devices fairly well, and being of the standard size and shape of disposable batteries makes them fairly versatile as opposed to dedicated battery packs for things like those pesky Xbox controllers that are somehow opposed to the idea of a built in battery.
