This thing reminds me of those vintage rotating space rocket lamp night light things us 90s kids used to have. It works great, only thing is the only way you're going to get a clear image like shown above in the product description is if you have it close to the ceiling or close to a wall. Otherwise it just kinda looks like space blobs around the room but it still looks pretty neat on the wall by a bedside. Its easy to operate, and disassemble. There's a couple different image screens. I haven't dropped it or anything like that so I'm not sure about how durable it will be but it looks like it could crack if you drop it on tile. Doesn't get hot either so I wouldn't worry about it being a fire hazard. Perfect nightlight for children. Treat it with care!

I originally bought this for my 4 year old son that is afraid of the dark. I thought it would help. He tried it, but still wanted the light on. He then gave it to his sister. Edit: After 8 months of daily use, the light stopped working. I plug it in each night, and then suddenly, two nights ago, when I plugged it in, the lamp went out. I unplugged it, and it came back on (I had batteries inside as a backup in case the power went out from the storm we were having). So strange. The past two nights, I've used it on the battery function, but the batteries are getting ready to die. I'm so disappointed.

This little nightlight is the best. My 5 year old daughter is going through the phase of being scared of the dark. This nightlight emits just enough light so it's not pitch black in her room, and the projector is mesmerizing. She falls asleep each night gazing at the stars and the moon.

My son had a turtle stars and moon projector that died, so I went looking for a replacement. I found this device, and figured he would love it. I was right!

Seems like every night he wants a different color combination to look at while he falls asleep. In fact, the first few nights he had it, he asked to go to bed early just so he could watch his personal light show. He loves that it spins!

I love that it has a power cord. I was sick of changing batteries every month, so this is a big improvement.

The two downsides that keep this from being a 5 star item:
1. There is no auto shut off (at least not when using the power cord). So if I forget it will spin all night. It doesn't seem to disturb his sleep, but it's annoying to me.
2. The projection is not sharp. Everything is a little fuzzy when it hits the ceiling. This is because the dome is so thin. It's paper thin. If you thickened this up to about a quarter inch, the light waves would be more contained and the projection would be sharper.

Like the other reviews, I can see how it can annoying to have to click thru the colors to turn off, but that is if you decide to hit the 'color' options. I prefer #1 with the white light as it's brighter for my LO and easy 1-click to turn off. The length of the extension wasn't a big deal. We have the light sitting on top of a shelf where the plug available. Plenty of slack. Not bad for the price. Hoping for a decent durability as the lights seem a bit flimsy but it's doing the job.

I ordered this as a gift to my husband who always wanted one of these. Sadly he died shortly after I ordered it and never got the chance to see it. I didn't have high hopes when it arrived because it seemed cheaply made but it's amazing. It is easy to use, plenty of user options to make it to your taste, and projects beautifully onto any surface.. we LOVE it!! Best $20 spent in a while. I've used mine for about 4 months with no problems. My only wish for this product is that they sold additional themed domes. I like the stars and planets but there are sooooomany more possibilities with this item it's a shame they didn't continue on with such a wonderful product.

I love this little lamp. It's very bright and while the projected stars aren't super sharp and clear (the larger stars are clearer than the smaller), it projects the light all throughout the room easily reaching the ceiling and all four walls even when the lamp is resting on the floor off to one side of the room. The motor for the spinning option is surprisingly quiet, I can only hear it if the room is absolutely silent and even then it's just a low hum.

It doesn't come with a USB wall connector, but I had one from a phone charger that I could switch the cord out with. Overall, I'm definitely happy with it

This product looks like $15.00 cheap toy...not worth the asking price listed. It's on the small size, the changeable domes are flimsy. For the money they are asking it should have a remote, batteries included and proper plug...not USB adapter. How about ambient sounds? My baby's monitor is worth the price I paid for this. Not impressed at all and ready to ask for my money back.
