The innovative 1x2 function allows you to wireless split an HDMI signal and broadcast to 2 TVs. It does not require a line-of-sight placement, so you can keep your setup clean! Compared with the single antenna version, the dual antenna version has improved data transmission rate and video stability.
Features:
- Wireless HD audio/video streaming from up to 660 feet away through standard home walls; Supports two receivers at the same time
- Wireless Full HD 1080P with HDMI loop output; Improved data rates and video stability
- Lockable DC power plug design
- Wide frequency IR control
- Supports video resolutions of 480p, 720p, 1080i and 1080p
- Customizable operating frequency and SSID allows for multiple sets in the same environment
Package Contents:
- (1) x Transmitter | (1) x Receiver | (2) x Power Adapters | (2) x IR Cables
Question 1
Q: How many receivers can I pair with 1 transmitter?
A: You can have up to 2 receivers paired with 1 transmitter for a 1 x 2 setup. The transmitter also has a local HDMI output port, so you can hard-wire a local display along with 2 wireless receivers for a 1 x 3 setup.
Question 2
Q: How do I set up multiple sets in the same environment?
A: You would power on one pair, ensure that the receiver is paired with the transmitter. Log in to the transmitter's web interface and assign it a unique operating channel and SSID. Save those settings within the transmitters web interface and the receiver will follow that change as well. Then you would power up the next set and follow the same instructions. You can have up to 4 sets in the same environment.
Question 3
Q: What is the ideal LED indicator status to show that the system is working?
A: On both the transmitter and receiver. the "Power" led would be solid, "Status" LED would be blinking slowly, and "HDMI" LED would be solid. This would indicate that the transmitter and receiver are paired and sharing information from source to the display.
Question 4
Q: What would happen if I add more than 2 receivers to a transmitter?
A: You may experience intermittent signal or no signal at all on either 1 or all of the receivers.

I use this device to watch TV through my outdoor antenna. My antenna is located on the balcony outside the dining room. I have two TV sets, one in the living room and one in the bedroom. I can use the same antenna with the same connection on both TV sets. I used to have coax cables stapled on the walls all the way from my dining room through to the living room. They were unsightly and often fell off. It was ugly and I didn't like it. And in the bedroom I had a flat antenna which barely worked and I had to move it delicately for each channel I wanted to watch. And there were long coax cables again stapled on the walls going into the dining room which is the only indoor space where I could get a signal.
Now I have the Extender in the dining room. I ran a ribbon coax cable through the sliding glass balcony door in the dining room. I connected the antenna to a digital TV converter. And I used an HDMI cable to connect the converter to the Extender. I can now watch TV in my living room and also in my bedroom using the very same antenna. No more coax wires strung on the walls through out the apartment. And it works!
My digital TV converter box has a remote control device. I actually have two of them. I can use the remote control to do everything from changing channels on the converter box, to operating the menu function for settings, and even control the volume through the converter box.
It is like I have the TV connected directly to the converter box even though I am using an extender.
CONS:
1. Obviously I can't watch different channels at the same time on both TV sets. For my purposes this is fine. I would have no reason to do that.
2. Signal loss. There is a definite difference between the reception straight from the antenna to the TV using a direct coax cable, and the reception going into the converter box then into the Extender and then being wifi signaled to the TV set. I do certainly lose signal. In my area there is a weak signal for one of my favorite channels. I can receive it direct, but it just will not come in with my set up. And the other stations work, but depending on environment, time of day, or just the whims and caprices of the signals, they sometimes pixilate. It is my understanding that the more connections you have in an antenna set-up, the more opportunites you have to lose some signal. Perhaps a different converter box would help. I don't know.
But in general, this does work, and it works well. I am very happy with the result.
PROS:
1. CUSTOMER SERVICE: I had a problem setting up my Extender so that the remote control would work. The instructions given with the device are very sparse and just cover the highlights. My remote controls just did not work. I phoned the manufacturer and was immediately connected to a very nice, friendly, helpful, and interested representative. He walked me through the set-up from start to end just to make sure I was doing things. It turned out that I had made a simple and easily corrected mistake. The Extender Transmitter has an IR dongle. I needed to move that dongle so that it was in line of sight of my digital converter box IR signal. With his help I now have a remote control of the converter box from either room.
The build is good with solid metal cases. It set up flawlessly and it worked right out of the box ... sort of. Anything, and I repeat anything with motion in the picture gets blurred and jitters. A rolling stock ticker on the financial channels is almost unreadable. I tried to watch a stock car race and the stands just became a swash of smear. I tried changing cables, I tried changing wi-fi channels, I tried the RGB color setting. I moved the units around. I rebooted them. Nothing helped.
This thing, in my opinion, has serious encode/decode problems with the video processing. It jitters noticeably even on modest moving pictures. My ancient Actiontec looks MUCH better. This unit does have the range as I did test that because my plan was to run a second receiver in an outbuilding but it was jittering on the bedroom TV about 25 feet away so I sure wasn't going to invest another $100 on a second receiver.
Maybe I got a bad one but somehow I doubt it. It worked very well except for the jitter. I did something I rarely do and that is I boxed it back up and returned it for a refund. I will jitterbug on down the road and look for something else as soon as my eyes adjust. The blue LEDs on these units were so bright that the highway patrol boys and girls would approve.
