Product Description
In 1993, Sunpentown International (SPT) was founded on the ideal of distributing well trusted appliance brands that offer innovation, value and quality.
From the manufacturer
SPT Countertop Dishwashers
Compact Design
Perfect for apartments, office kitchens or any small-sized kitchens; offers full-size power in a compact design. With a height of only 17.24", this unit will fit between most countertop and cabinetry. Spacious cavity loads up to six standard place settings.
Easy Installation with Faucet Adapter and Quick Connect
Quick connect to any kitchen faucet eliminates the need for direct plumbing or permanent installation.
Our faucet adapter fits standard-sized Aerator openings for both male and female connections. Size: Male 15/16", Female 55/64". As long as your faucet has a removable Aerator, it should be able to connect the faucet adapter.
Note: For standard faucet head with a side/detached sprayer: while attached to the faucet, some detached sprayers will experience water leakage due to line pressure. This is from the design of these faucets to redirect the water pressure from the main faucet head to the side sprayer. If you have a side sprayer, you will most likely need to install a water line that is separated from the sprayer.
Various Wash Cycles
6 wash cycles (SD-2213): Heavy, normal, light, miniparty, rinse and speed.

Dishes rack holds dishes well and is versatile enough to load even pots and pans, although I could only fit two frying pans in at one time with a few other random cups and utensils. For regular dishes, the racks work beautifully and separate the dishes enough for the cleaning action to work well.
The multiple programs are varied enough to use at least two or three on a regular basis.
Very quiet operation, except for the expelled dirty water being drained into the sink which is to be expected.
Gorgeous exterior and really gorgeous interior.
Fits perfectly on top of this portable stand:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000JIJTM8?redirect=true&ref_=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_11
which is not intended for kitchen use, but works beautifully and is capable of holding up to 200lbs. which is more than the loaded dishwasher weighs, including a side "file folder" bin which holds the water and drain lines perfectly.... like a custom fit!
Everything that I was looking for in a countertop dishwasher was achieved by buying this model!
I run it a couple times a week. It does a fantastic job on everyday loads, and the party setting is nice when you've got a bunch of glassware from a get-together to wash. The silverware basket is removable, which is nice for loads where you're just washing bowls and plates and mugs/glassware.
A few caveats for prospective buyers:
1) This thing is heavy. I managed to wrestle it through the house and back into my kitchen, but you might want to get a friend if you're not in the habit of moving heavy objects.
2) MEASURE THE LOCATION you want to use for the dishwasher. It's heavy, yes, but it's also deceptively big. Make sure you've got the space to put this chunky little chub before buying.
3) Dishwasher pods work great, but use Finish or another rinse agent in conjunction with them. I found they're a lot easier and reliable than the in-door powder dispenser, which can sometimes get stuck if the silverware basket is full and a stray fork or knife blocks the little door from popping open. I've used both Finish pods and store-brand (Kroger) pods with equal success. This model has an indicator that lets you know when you're running low on rinsing agent, too, which is nice.
4) Make sure you clean the little basket at the bottom after every few loads, especially if you're not a pre-rinse fanatic.
5) I recommend opening the door to let the dishes dry more effectively and empty it as soon as the dishes are dry.
Overall, I would recommend this dishwasher to anyone who needs a dishwasher for one or two people, doesn't have a built-in, and has the space available near their sink.
Unlike my parents dishwasher this little guy does seem to need rinse-aid. I had never used it before but I kept getting spots in this dishwasher. Little rinse-aid combined with not filling the detergent cup all the way took the spots down to nothing.
I do use powder in this puppy since it takes so little detergent that I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to break tablets small enough for the load size accurately.
Barely noticed the small spike in the energy bill and it also uses very little water on the "mini-party" setting we set it on. If you run it nearly everyday that setting will probably do you just fine. There is also a "normal" use setting but that has been overkill for us.
The only strange thing is some people say the timer is inaccurate and I think I know part of why this is. If you run it with hot water from the tap the timer is almost right. If you run it with cold tap water then it takes a very long time for it to heat the water but the timer doesn't account for this. The accuracy of the timer makes very little difference to me personally. Hence no loss of star.
Since I have an electric hot water heater and half the time I'm showering while it runs I just run it on cold and let it go longer. The hot water is going to be heated by electricity either way. Not sure one way is really anymore cost effective than the other. If you have a gas hot water heater then you will probably want to use hot water from the tap to save you money.
I did get this as a warehouse deal which was perfect. I saved some money and still had the option to return it. But it had one scratch on the side I don't see and it worked perfectly. So you would have to pry it from my dead hands. If you buy it new you may want to shop around, particularly at the bulk stores, they will probably have this for a lower price new. When its stock.
