- Reviewed in the United States on August 14, 2024I have been saving for this machine for a while and I just love it. It’s a heavy duty quality sewing machine that’s easy to use and comes with most stitches you’ll need. Great value for the money as well. It’s portable if you want to take it on retreat and uses most thread that you can find on the market. It has a thread cutter, needle threader, drop in bobbin, needle up or down button and automatic lock stitch. It has a continuous stitch button for your decorative stitches and a mirror image button. It comes with the button hole presser foot, overcasting presser foot, zipper foot, manual button hole presser foot and blind stitch presser foot and the standard presser foot. It has speed control which is great for quilting. It comes with the foot controller but you don’t have to use it because there is a start and stop button on the machine and a reverse button. If you press on the heel side of the foot controller it will cut your thread which is very convenient. If you’re using decorative stitches and create your own pattern, you can save it on file to the machine. Altogether there are 225 stitch patterns and 4 letter patterns and 15 different buttonholes to choose from. In case you can’t tell I’m thrilled with this machine. I have a straight stitch machine that’s very expensive but it’s so nice to have this one with the zig zag stitches to sew knits now also.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 1, 2018I have had this machine for 2 years and have had very little problems. I was primarily looking to have this be my second machine my Pfaff Ambition that doesn't do good automatic button holes on thicker fabric like wool felt for a coat. After my research I chose the F300 because of button hole accessory was very different than others I have had that didn’t work well. After my first garment project it quickly became my primary machine! The feed dogs work much better on thin fabrics like jersey knit, chiffon, and two layers of wool coating and denim than my Pfaff and Brother PRW420. Now with that being said, I would have preferred a Bernina 330 if I could afford it because the feed dogs are far superior than any other machine I have owned. I don’t need any of the embroidery stitches as I only make clothes, swim suits, and lingerie. The F300 does well with most of those but I prefer to use the recently purchased 1984 Bernina 930, all metal body, to make bras. I heighly recommend the F300 for beginners because it will accommodate growth until you decide any additional functions needed. I say “needed” because a machine with all the bells and whistles can be very attractive to a beginner but they come at a higher cost and the motor is the same for all 3. The F300 has been a solid machine for me and I have no plans to upgrade.
I did have issues when I first purchased a refurbished machine from a vender other than Amazon. It was missing a lot of parts so I sent it back and got a new unopened box from Amazon.
Also the F300 does not come with accessories the F400 and F600 get. A little disappointed that the auxiliary spool pin for twin needle stitching isn’t consider a standard accessory for the F300. All of the accessories included with the F400 and F600 don’t justify the huge price difference from the F300 so I’ve purchased some of those separately.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 7, 2025I did a lot of research. Read the reviews and got super excited about buying a Juki! I’ve been sewing for 50 years and thought I would treat myself to a great machine. Right out of the box I had a minor problem. The self threader did not automatically return to its original spot, but within a little help, it popped back up. I did some simple sewing to test out the machine. I was especially excited about the thread trimming feature. It was great.! Actually everything seemed fine at first. Then a couple weeks later I had my sister over and I was showing her the machine doing a simple, single stitch. The machine made a funny sound, and I stopped immediately after she left. I returned to see what had happened. Since I was just doing a single stitch, I couldn’t imagine what the problem would be. I rethreaded the machine and start again, but now something seemed off, and there was a sound every time the machine was running. It turned out to be something wrong with the bobbin. Again, I went back to doing research rethreaded over and over again, but the bobbin was noisy and it just didn’t make sense. Eventually, I just went back to my old machine because the Juki was so problematic. So my new machine sat on the side too much of a headache to tackle. Finally when I return to sewing, I decided to give the Juki another chance. Now the thread cutter would only cut the bottom thread consistently, and the bobbin was making noise. I decided to take it to be serviced. Their technician in Juki machines and I’m hopeful. Here in Hawaii things are expensive and without looking at my machine my bill is $300. I’m hoping for a good outcome but already I know it’s gonna cost too much for way too little. My experience with this machine has really impacted my joy of sewing. But refusing to give up, I decided to buy a machine for $200 while I waited for this $500 machine to be serviced for $300. I guess sowing can be an expensive hobby.! I love sewing gifts to give away and this is the first time I’ve had such a struggle. My original machine., a Pfaf , works, but has problems with the power cord, so my new machine is not the basic singer which works beautifully! This reminds me just how poorly and finicky the Juki machine is. Not recommended!

Me gusto mucho esta máquina , sus puntadas lo fácil que es utilizarla y sobre todo que se ensarta con una palanquita y hace el corte de hilo al terminar con el pie de la máquina
😍

5.0 out of 5 stars Juki: Still the best machine around...
While I love reviewing products, I'm always a little leery of writing a review within the first few weeks of buying a product; so I'm beginning to always preface with: "Initial review. Once I've worked with it for a while, I may update." That being said, I've been working on clothing for over 50 years; about 47 of those professionally. To that end, I've worked with many different brands of sewing machines. This is not my first Juki. I've always been very pleased with the work on earlier Juki machines. This one appears to be no different at first blush. In fact, the remarkable thing about this machine appears to be that it's designed sort of like an industrial machine, but in a portable body! So far, I love it's versatility. I'll be interested to see how well it functions over time.

wife really likes it.

1.0 out of 5 stars macine does not work in Australia
This sewing machine was ordered from Amazon Australia but when it arrived it was obvious that it had been sent from USA. The machine cannot be used in Australia as this country has 240V electricity whereas this USA appliance uses 120V. Amazon AUstralia should have warned us about the voltage difference or not sold us the machine. Very poor.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bon choix
J’ai longtemps hésité avant de m’acheter une nouvelle machine. Je suis heureuse de mon choix. Elle passe les épaisseurs et le choix de points est amplement suffisant pour mes besoins. Arrivée rapidement.
