Simple 3 Step Installation.

Step 1: Clean the surface.

IMPORTANT: Do not apply the non-slip tape below temperatures of 50°F (10°C) or during the winter months. Make sure that it doesn’t rain 24 hours after installing the tape.

Peel back the paper liner of the non-slip tape revealing the adhesive side of the tape.

Lifesaver for my 14 yo pooch
Our dog ramp has been outside, unprotected for 3 years and the nonslip material finally gave up. Luckily, it peeled right off and I was able to get it really clean. I put the ramp on my dining room table to have a large work surface without bending over. Once I decided how to place the strips to maximize coverage, the strips were a breeze to apply. The trick to get off any backing material, is to use a safety pin and just barely graze thru the backing, (not at the edge) and then fold it back. Someone else suggested a roller to help seal once in place. That was a great idea and I bought an $8 roller from Amazon. The roller really saves your hands. The tape is rough, but it has not hurt or damaged her feet. As you can see, she has no trouble going up the ramp. Excellent purchase and so far it has withstood rain, wind, 95 degree days and NC humidity. There has been no peel up at all.

    I needed to reduce the risk of slipping for my dog on the top step going into my garage, It was easy to apply and did the trick. I only needed one but it comes in a pack of 10. I may add more to the 3 other steps but he seems ok once he gets going. Good product and it seems to be sticking well with no peeling on the corners. I would get this again or recommend it to others.
    I noticed others had low ratings. Mine is not used in the elements/weather. So far so good, it's been about 2 months and no sign of degradation.

    I installed these on a painted trailer ramp that was way too slippery and I couldn't be happier with the result. I started with a freshly painted (and cured) plywood ramp. While there's a good amount of extremely sticky adhesive on the back, I can't imagine that you'd have good luck getting these, or anything, to adhere to extremely weathered concrete or wood. If possible, level and paint before application to weathered surfaces. That being said, here's how I installed them:

    1. Measured and squared the strips to the ramp, using masking tape to hold the strips in place before removing backing. After the first strip, I used a J Roller to get the masking tape to stick to the sandpaper side. Tape does not want to stick to sandpaper without some persuasion.
    2. Flip the strip back, using the masking tape as a hinge, so that the backing paper is now facing up. My wife removed the backing paper because fingernails are a requirement here as there's no score mark on the backing.
    3. Carefully flip the strip back onto the ramp, adhesive side down, using the tips of my fingers to lightly set the adhesive from the taped edge to the free edge. This avoids creating bubbles.
    4. Set the strips with my weight on a J Roller. This is 80 grit sandpaper. You don't want to use your fingers to set the adhesive unless you don't mind leaving your fingertips on the strips.

    Once the backing paper is off, the strips are much more supple than I would have imagined. I work with sandpaper and emery cloth all the time and these are not as stiff as those. The adhesive reminds me of flypaper. It's seriously sticky stuff. It's a generous layer but not enough to fill gaps. Get your placement right the first time because once these things are down, they're not coming off without a fight.

    Start to finish on 8 strips was about 20 minutes. I spent more time planning and taping than actually setting the strips. I feel better about walking on the ramp now so this was a worthwhile and inexpensive fix to a potentially dangerous problem.

    J'en ai disposé sur le carrelage de mon salon qui donne sur l'ouverture vers la terrasse.
