The floatability receives mixed feedback - while some say it's great, others note it tends to sink when lying on stomach. The thickness and value for money are also mixed aspects, with some finding it thick and worth the purchase while others describe it as flimsy and not worth the money. The head support is particularly problematic, with customers reporting that the head sinks under water and the hollow design doesn't provide proper support.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 5, 2024I searched on amazon for one of the thicker floats, and this SwimWays one is great!
It's 2 inches thick - and much nicer than the last float we owned.
We live in Florida, where we use our pool about 10 months a year, so our floats get a lot of use.
This float is very good quality.
100% recommend this float

- Reviewed in the United States on July 10, 2024The float is good. Not as sturdy as I expected. Very happy with it.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 24, 2024Kinda disappointed that under pillow is hollow. Works great if laying on back. But when you lay on your tummy the pillow end goes under water to much. I had to put an empty 2 liter bottle under pillow. I only weigh 120 lbs so that’s not the problem. It needs to be solid pillow from top to underneath in my opinion.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 30, 2022At the time I bought this, the price was about 40% less than the nearest pool/leisure provider. Same exact product as in the local stores. Product is great. Very durable. Held up a 325 pound person at 6’2. Of course there as a slight dip in the middle as to be more than expected.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 9, 2021I bought this pool float after having owned similar items by different brands for many years. They usually last several years, and that was with dogs jumping on them. I bought this one for my wife’s birthday and it was delivered May 2, 2021. We no longer have dogs and my wife was the only person to use this, couple times a week. After 4 months a crack developed on the bottom, that crack has now split clean through to the top and it is splitting further. More cracks followed so it wasn’t a single defect. It will split the raft in half within the next couple of uses. Amazon said it was beyond the 30 day return so we needed to check with the manufacturer. The manufacturer said that because it was purchased through Amazon, through a non authorized carrier of their products, they wouldn’t replace it. Lesson learned on my end, while Amazon usually stands behind such things, make sure that your purchase is from the manufacturer or you’ll be out of luck. Regardless, this product should have never failed under such circumstances, not for years. I won’t ever purchase a Swimways product again, it is obviously a sub standard product. Update; As of this past week, 9-22-2021, it was put out to the trash. Amazon take note, this product sheds poor light on vendors who sell it as well, that means you! With the reviews that you have about this very product, it shouldn’t be on your digital shelves. They have it set up quite nicely, you get the item out of the box and it looks fine. By the time it begins to fall apart, in mere months, Amazon says it is beyond their 30 day window, contact the manufacturer. The manufacturer says it isn’t their problem because Amazon sold it to you through a seller that is not one of their authorized sellers. If Amazon, the biggest retailer in the world, is selling things that everyone has an excuse for when it falls apart in a fraction of what should have been it’s normal lifespan, that is a bad image for Amazon. I bought this item because I grew tired of buying the Walmart blow up inflatables for $5, but they only last 6 months. This one didn’t last that long and I could have bought 20 of those blow ups for what I paid for this.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 10, 2023This raft is the biggest one I’ve ever seen. If you’re a tall person this raft is for you. It’s plenty thick. The pillow is full, meaning doesn’t have a hole in it like other rafts do. I’ve ordered another one, I was so pleased. Many places are asking the same price or more and don’t have 2” thickness. That’s a very important feature. You won’t regret buying things one.

2.0 out of 5 stars does not hold weight well.
Very flimsy, it sinks too much when you lie on it and that is even at around 115 pounds and it is supposed to be able to carry 250 lbs. Not worth the money.
