- Im 6 ft on the dot and weigh 225 usually, I have a wide muscular frame and it just supports me so perfectly.
- Have a plus sized cousin who uses a spare I have bought who weighs over 265 and its holds him like an Angel Food Cake.
Cons : None that come to mind.
You cannot go wrong with this purchase. Great company, wonderful product, extremely comfortable, un-beatable price , amazing materials, you just cant be disappointed with how compact of a deal it really is, while packing that much comfort.
Size: The seat measures 13" from point to point with the same for the legs. The user will sit 15" off the ground. At around 6'1" and 180 in my birthday suit, I find this stool to be very comfortable. I have an athletic build and my bottom settles into the webbing like a hammock. In comparison to the most popular folding stool, the Travelchair Slacker Chair (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0019N36B2/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_1), the ALPS is much more comfortable. The extra 2 inches of height on the Travelchair made for a less comfortable sitting position and the seat and base are substantially smaller. The ALPS stool does not bother my "man parts" while the Travelchair was noticeably intrusive and instantly uncomfortable.
Weight: About 2 lbs (maybe less) which is light enough that I would not hesitate to take this backpacking. It is no more heavy than an umbrella.
Size: About as long as a loaf of bread and half the circumference this can be carried in the supplied nylon cinch sack or by the small shoulder strap. It would fit in just about any backpack.
Construction: The seat fabric is nicely stitched and reinforced at the edges and the bearing points. It is riveted into the base poles so you wont lose it but you would have to hand wash it. The strap around the feet is a nice feature as it will keep the stool from failing and because it is a tripod, it should be stable on most surfaces. It has a Velcro strap around the top to secure the legs when folded and this is also riveted so it will not get lost.
Overall, I like this seat very much and sat on it for 30 minutes with no discomfort. I will now buy more of these as the price ($10) is excellent especially with a lifetime warranty. I will use this to change boots in the parking lots when we snowboard and hike and any other time I want to have a nice place to sit a spell without lugging around a folding chair.
One more thing: I have 9 year old twin boys so size was a consideration for them as well. This stool seems to fit us all so it's a big win for the active family with kiddos. Enjoy!
Cons: it's a bit shorter than I imagined, even for myself at 5'7". But that's something I would have know if I looked for it. So no marks down! Especially since it's still super comfortable.
I work as a security guard at a site where there is nowhere for me to sit. Standing and walking around in the same 30 sq ft area gets old quickly, especially for 40 hour work weeks. I use this for 5-10 min breaks here and there to take some pressure of my feet. I felt a regular camp chair would make me look lazy to passersby despite the fact that I stand for roughly 85% of my shift and am sure to stand for anyone to walk by. This stool is small and inconspicuous and I feel looks more "professional" than a full blown chair. Plus when standing I keep my water bottle and lunch on it so it usually looks like a table of sorts. Simply, if you are in need of a folding stool, be you a hiker, security guard, or what have you; look no further. The price/quality/comfort is unbeatable, keep in mind if you are I would guess 5'10 or taller, sitting with feet flat probably won't be the most comfortable thing.

-It's light and durable. Everything is still tight and true after a full season of camping.
-It plants itself firmly. I have sat in this stool while being on sand, slanted rock and forest floors. You never feel as if you are about to topple over.
-It's very comfortable. I don't even miss a back rest.
-It dries fast when wet.
-It packs nicely into a 60L whitewater barrel (which is my favorite feature)
This thing is a steal for its price. I have two now. I have tried those fancy light chairs that go for $70.00+, the ones that you have to put all the poles together. They may pack a little better, but this chair feels more sturdy. Honestly I would rather buy 5 of these stools before one of those chairs.
Buy it. Have a seat. You wont be disappointed!

It's not the lightest or even smallest one you could find, but it's probably the cheapest. For just £12 it did exactly what I needed it to. At this size and with no back rest, it's not the most comfortable stool in the world, but it's infinitely more comfortable than sitting on the floor. I took this stool to Germany in my carry-on luggage for a festival and the difference having a stool rather than sitting on the floor was amazing. I definitely couldn't recommend this for larger/very heavy folk and wouldn't trust it to support heavy loads.
The build quality is absolutely fine. The legs are sturdy and rugged and the material and stitching used for the seat is well constructed and durable. Wasn't a huge fan of the rust colour but given my marginal requirements this was largely irrelevant. For the price I didn't expect it would last more than a handful of uses, but after 3 festivals, 6 flights, stormy weather...it's still going strong.
Not really much else to say, it was sturdy and durable, fit inside my carry on and is extremely cheap: great!
