Amazon.com
Norpro's cherry pitter cuts down cherry pie preparation time immensely. Push the catch hopper and one of the pit gaskets in place, fill up the automatic feed tray with cherries, and start plunging the seeds out. This method minimizes wasted fruit and wasted time, adding speed and ease to pie making, canning, freezing, or dehydrating. Measuring 7-1/2 by 6 by 14 inches (length by width by height), this cherry pitter comes with a clamp, which will attach it securely to any countertop that's 3/4 inch thick, and two gaskets. It should be hand washed after each use. --A.J. Rathbun

Now the down side… 1) you need to make sure the knob on the plunger is tight at all times, Check it once in a while. It can loosen and the mechanism comes apart with a BANG.
2) For an expensive kitchen gadget it is NOT stainless steel (it rusts) I solved this by washing, drying and wiping a little Cooking spray on it.
Pros:
You can quickly pit a large number of cherries without too much wear and tear to your hands
Large pit container to collect the discarded pits
Cons:
Splatter - there is no guard to prevent sending cherry juice all over your counter...and you
Depth and location of vice grip - the vice grip was just barely wide enough to fit on my granite counter top, and it has to fit one direction so I couldn't place it where it would work best for me.
Plastic - the handle broke off the first time I used it.
I got it out this week, brand new from the box, and began to use it. The plastic clamp cracked on the second use (it was just getting secure on the counter, was not over-tightened) and the top of the clamp mechanism also detached and the threads won't rethread to it.
I am seeking a refund from Norpro, as the time for Amazon return has expired. I'm sad that it broke as the mechanism works marvelously ... pop, pop, pop, cherries are done!
updated four weeks later---Norpro guaranteed their product and went above and beyond to get me a new one (even though I couldn't return it to the store where I had bought it, which is their normal procedure---apparently they guarantee everything) and once I sent the broken clamp one back, they sent a suction cup version VERY quickly ... it was back in time for our next batch of cherries! YAY! We are back in service again! Thank you Norpro
