I bought this for an 870 Express 12 Gauge Magnum with wood stocks circa 1989. I use this primarily with hard kicking magnum turkey loads which can be punishing. The fit is perfect even though the chart does not show my model. I used the sizing chart provided on the Limbsaver web site to check the size and it was right on. No gaps or overhang/underhang
Installing this is easy. Best to add some dish soap to the screw holes to make inserting the screwdriver and removing the screws easier on the old one. If not, you will chew up the old hard rubber on the old pad. Same thing for installing the new pad. A little dish soap and everything slides together with little effort.
I have used other Limbsaver products and it works to rreduce the felt recoil by absorbing the initial impulse. Other have noted that the rubber is tacky, and it can drag on fabrics when you pull it to your shoulder. Especialy cotton garments. Less so on synthetic or polished fiber shirts and jackets.
This is an easy and efficient upgrade to any hard kicking long gun. I recommend it.
