This pillow won’t lose its loft even though it compresses small for packing. The wide pillow has a brushed P5 poly hi-count surface that won’t stick to you or become clammy. The pillow comes with an envelope-style pillowcase that is a washable 100% flannel with a double-brushed finish for softness. The pillow cases match the lining of TETON Sports Celsius sleeping bags. I’ve seen people state that it’s small… it’s smaller than a standard pillow yes, but that’s what you want when backpacking, minimal space and weight but still gets the job done.     I usually have trouble sleeping when I’m backpacking and one thing really helps is a comfortable pillow. Unfortunately, I’ve tried a few camping pillows without finding one I liked. I have a couple of regular inflatable pillows that are just too small and not really comfortable because it feels like I’m sleeping on a balloon. Then I bought a foam filled pillow by Thermarest. It’s much more comfortable, but not quite firm enough to suit me. It’s also really bulky even when compressed. Now I’ve found this pillow, which looks to be the best of both worlds. The expanding foam inside gives more of the feel of a traditional pillow, and the ability to inflate it with air helps to regulate the firmness without the balloon feeling. When you’re ready to pack up, you can compress it and it doesn’t take up a huge amount of space. The top fabric is also nice and soft, and not the plastic feel of my inflatable pillows.

    All that said, this is not a pillow for someone who is looking for the lightest weight pillow possible. I wish I could use one of the ultralight inflatable options, but I just can’t get a decent night sleep using one. This is a nice compromise if size, weight, and comfort. It did not include a patch kit, so that is something to consider. I have one with my inflatable sleeping pad, so no worries there.

    If it holds up with use, this product is a home run.

    One of the most import things to me to have a good night sleep is a good pillow. When I travel I almost always bring my pillow but when I need something smaller this is my go to pillow. I tried inflatable pillows but they just weren't right for me and this fit my needs. It comes with a nice storage bag and is pretty easy to pack up.

    I would recommend this pillow for anyone who has a little extra space in their backcountry packs and are not a fan of inflatable pillows. The pillow is lofty and packs pretty small. Quality feels very good and the washable pillow case is key. Keep in mind, the pillow is slightly smaller in dimension vs the inflatables, but is far more comfortable.
