Afraid of the Heat? No Longer
I have autistic students who have sensory issues and fears when it comes to getting near hot things -- so do I. I hate oven mitts because I don't feel like I have enough grip or control over the item I am carrying, and my sensory issues are increased with the layers of fabric between my hands and the item.These gloves changed all that. I can grip what I need: fingers all around the edge of the pan. I don't have to be afraid of the heat, and I can carry things and move more confidently around the kitchen. They help all my students. Teaching cooking is no longer as much of a struggle now they know they won't get burned.

    I LOVE THESE GLOVES!

    Honestly, I have two more pairs in my Amazon cart. These are woven tightly with enough room for various hand sizes but not so much room that you scramble to hold items. I've used it for various hot items from cookies to roast pans, my Instapot, and my Airfryer. SOLID purchase. The only downside is that the color is white, which I feel was a bad color choice. I would have liked an option for gray, black, or red. These pull on easy and come off quickly. Aside from being able to handle hot items better, I also appreciate how easy these are to clean.

I like that my whole hands are protected and the backs of my hands don’t get burned when putting things in and out of the oven. They are a nice fit for a woman’s hands, but I think they would be a really tight fit for a man.
