Customers are mixed about the performance of the guitar effect device. Some mention that it works really well, and the pitch correction and reverb seem to work well, while others say that it didn't work as advertised, did not work with their Fender 2 channel acoustic amp, and produced no effects at all. Some customers also mention that the pedal might not work and the footswitch is not working.

Just got it, was recommended a 9V center negative 300mA power supply from amazon...most do pedals use this...this pedal needs a 9V center negative 670mA power supply, so if you were recommended a wrong power supply, the pedal might not work...top right light should be green and not a blinking red...i think it might be because the 24v constant phantom power this puts out to the mic, not too sure....other than that, this thing is friggin fun!
Familiar and unique sounds all in one. Most folks will sound different with this effect depending on you vocal input. Doesn't do anything till you vocalize. Has a learning curve , but I'm using in it on my upcoming Smooth jazz CD and I think its on there about 5 times in spots. Enjoy TC always makes solid gear.
I sent the original back because it didn't work as advertised. I asked for a replacement, thinking that there was something wrong with the first one. The bottom line is, these things don't work as advertised!!!!!
I was really excited to get this but it did not work with my Fender 2 channel acoustic amp! Great customer service from seller. TC-Helicon not so much! No contact number for technical help is a bummer!
After reading many reviews on this product, I decided to buy it. My band does "Living on a Prayer" and I wanted to add something to the song to make our version stand out...be more memorable for people who come to our shows. The talk box feature does that. I also didn't want a traditional talk box, where I had to worry about a tube next to my microphone. I use setting No. 3 - which allows the sound of my guitar to be heard along with my voice in talk box format. It works really well. A few pointers - 1) don't use the pedal when you have your boost pedal engaged - it's a bit too much. 2) I've been finding other parts in songs where I can add some color by using the talk box. It's fun and helps to mix things up. I need to read the instructions and learn how to convert the switch to a latch function - this way I can step on it, and get talk box, and then release and I'm back to normal vocals. Need to test that out. Also, the pitch correction and reverb seem to work really well. I'm not a great singer, so the pitch correction definitely helps!
The sound on this is so eerily similar to a standard tube driven talkbox that it's almost unnoticeable from the norm. Plusses? No tube to clean and jam in your mouth. Just hookup a mic and a guitar or synth putting out a sawtooth wave for the carrier signal and you're off to do your best Zapp impersonation.
