This was very easy to work with and install. We were able to manipulate the sheet in a small way that maximized where the heat goes so everywhere your foot can touch is heated and the wasted spaces are not. 170 watts for an 8 foot stretch. Granted it’s a small bathroom but it works really well. Also, it’s enough to keep the room comfortable with door closed as there is no ducting in that room (we use a wood stove as primary and a mini split as secondary for rest of home)

The mesh on the mat can be cut to make turns in order to fit your space
The mesh can be cut and even removed entirely from a portion of the mat in order to fit spaces on site. Just leave the blue heating wire intact. It cannot be cut or shortened. Repair kits are available if the wire is accidently cut.

Simply unroll and attach your mat(s) to the subfloor using the double-sided tape, secure the floor sensor (comes with all SunTouch thermostats), apply thin-set mortar, and install your flooring.

Note:
If the reading between the two colored wires is within the ohm range and there is no resistance on the ground wire, you know nothing has been damaged and that the system works temperature at your scheduled time.
Make Sure Your System is Working Properly!
Use a Digital Multi-Meter to test your heating elements.
You can have peace of mind knowing that your floor heating system is in working order by testing the resistance of the heating elements with a Digital Multi-Meter.
Each cable has a UL tag on the power lead with a resistance (Ohm) range printed on it. Set the Multi Meter to 200 Ohms (2k if the Ohm range is over 200) and test the colored power lead wires. Then test the colored wires against the copper ground wire to make sure there is no resistance on the ground.
