This is the first trainer kite I ever bought, and I imagine the smallest and cheapest available. I was worried after hearing about how dangerous these kites can be, but the kite killer wasn't necessary, and this kite is too small to be dangerous (I was glad to learn how the kite killer worked, though). I had some trouble getting started, and after about 10 or 15 nose dives in a row into a dry lake bed, I just about gave up on the whole thing. However, after an hour or so I got the hang of the controls, and the second day, I was flying it fairly well. This kite hit the hard dirt so many times, and was dragged over so many small rocks and sand, as well as the cords crossing and rubbing against each other (due to my error). However, it is still in perfectly good shape. This is exactly the type of kite I was looking for. Later when I buy a bigger, more expensive kite, there will be a lot less risk of damaging it or not being able to control it.
The picture doesn’t do this kite justice, the quality is excellent. On the first day, I accidentally got it stuck in a tree and had to pull it down entirely by the strings through the tree. Surprisingly, there were no tears on anything, and the next day, I was flying again perfectly. This is an agile kite that requires some skill to fly, but I would absolutely buy it again. Great value!
