We have a senior feral that resists all attempts to make friends. I was concerned she's getting older and would be at higher risk during the bitter temps this winter. Set this up inside our garage (which is not heated) near the insulated box she's been using, and put a few treats inside the first few nights. She adopted it immediately, and seems to have stayed comfy and warm during the sub-zero nights we've had this last few weeks. I did need to run a long extension cord, as the cord is not overly long, but otherwise it was easy to set up and she certainly likes it.

Rover Approved
This sweet stray cat adopted us this summer. I couldn’t bear to have Rover out in the cold, but I also can’t have him inside, so this heated house was a great solution. I have it on a timer with my porch lights so it comes on at dusk and turns off once the sun comes up. (Note: I thought this house came with a built-in timer, but it does not.) Rover started using the house almost immediately. I didn’t put the doors on at first. Now that he’s been consistently using it for a few weeks I put a door on the opening he uses least; luckily it didn’t seem to dissuade him from using the house. I might try to add the other door once it gets colder. The house is located on a covered porch, on top of a table (to help the cat feel safe). I can’t speak to its weatherproofness since it is protected from the elements. It seems like it will hold up well in its current location. It’s a frame, fabric, and Velcro, which is all it really needs to be for my circumstances.
