About us
Johan Eliasch who is an avid skier and was well aware of the HEAD brand, gained control of the HEAD Sports in 1995. Mr. Eliasch moved quickly to revitalize the fortunes of HTM. With the product lines more focused, he directed the company’s attention into three areas: winter sports, tennis, and scuba diving. On the skiing side of the business, new hourglass-shaped skis, designed to make sharp turns, also found a ready market.
In addition, Mr. Eliasch looked to grow HTM through external means. In 1998, the company acquired Dacor, a diving industry pioneer, followed by the 1999 addition of Penn Tennis Balls and snowboard makers Blax and Generics.
Product Description
Rave is a stylish lightweight eye protection solution that comes with an impact resistant frame, a soft and comfortable non-slip nosepiece and a special rubber inlay in the end of the temples for more stability. Its lenses are distortion-free polycarbonate with anti-scratch and anti-fog treatment. An adjustable elastic strap holds the eyewear in place during even the toughest battles. To top it all off, each pair of protective glasses comes with a high-quality lens-cleaning bag. Top of the line protective eyewear will have you prepared to play like the pro's.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 11, 2024I wear these without the headband and never have a problem with them slipping or coming off. The visibility is great. They don’t tend to fog up like others that I’ve tried.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 31, 2012I don't know why I passed these over when I bought some new eye protection, but I went with another make that claimed to be fog proof and the whole nine yards (in it's defense it did have great reviews so maybe I got a lemon). They fogged like crazy! When I play racquetball with my group of friends we don't just jog around and tap the ball, we are drenched with sweat and play for a couple of hours. That might explain why the pair I bought fogged up so bad, but then one of the buddies pulled out his extra pair of Rave Protective Eyewear to let me try.
It was a night and day difference. These things WOULD NOT fog for anything. They stayed secured on my face and didn't fog up at all. When I got home that night I immediately started the return process and got my instant refund and ordered the Rave eye protection, 2 days later they arrived (amazon prime for the win!) and I've been using them ever since with zero problems. I love em'!!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 5, 2025The glasses are definitely worth the money. They fit just fine and hold to my head even without the strap.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 27, 2024I purchased these goggles for squash in 2015, now most recently, in July 2024, for some pickleball eye protection. The fit is quite good over the eyes and sits nicely on my nose, however, the other day I was playing pickleball with them on (the 2024 version), and found that the strap kept slipping off of the frame. Then I compared the ones I bought 9 years ago to the ones I bought this month and I found that the sidebar that fits over the ear is narrower. With moisture from sweating the strap just slips off. See the pictures to compare the 2015 and 2024 models. The 2015 model is shown on the left, and the 2024 on the right. I think that this is a design flaw and I will be looking for a different type of strap to keep the goggles on more securely. Hence the 3-star rating; otherwise it would be 5-star.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 20, 2025What I expected.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 6, 2025Used these about 4 times before the plastic lenses started spotting probably from my sweat. I liked them otherwise but now they are useless to me. I can't see clearly through the lens anymore.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 14, 2016I've tried multiple goggles (ProKennex Infinity, Head Power Zone Shield, Ektelon Strobe) and these are my favorites. They're light, they fit, they look good, they stay on my face, they don't fog much, and they're inexpensive. You really don't need to pay more. I don't find that having a clear frame makes much of a difference in terms of visibility. Every goggle will fog some and the manufacturer's anti-fog coating on the inside will eventually wear off, especially since you'll need to occasionally wipe sweat away that drips down the inside. I find that a little anti-fog spray before I play (like Jaws Quick Spit) works much better than any manufacturer's anti-fog coating. After I apply the anti-fog spray I never get any fogging at all, even when playing for hours.

5.0 out of 5 stars the rating is for another version of HEAD Eyewear. This rating is for HEAD Raptor eyewear
Since the ordered Head eyewear was not available the Company upgraded the goggles to HEAD Raptor. These fit very nicely. Do not fog up since they have cut outs on top of the lenses. They also come with interchangeable lenses - Yellow, Black and clear. Overall very impressed

3.0 out of 5 stars Dysfunctional String
The string at the back is more for vanity and doesn’t really work. Overtime, as the glass itself gets loose, I think it’ll become useless cause the string won’t hold it in its place. So if you are willing to spend 3K on glasses that’ll last a couple of months at best, go ahead. Else, go to a store and buy a better pair after checking thoroughly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Feel confident
The quality is of the lens is better than expected, no scratches and cleans easily in cool water as instructions state. Better than workers eye protection from the local shop. Only concern I am wearing for tennis not other ports as rated, so I still need to prevent an imapct.
