Born Shaun Thompson, Shaun T first made a name for himself as a track-and-field star at Rowan University, where he received a BS in Sports Science with a minor in Theater and Dance.

    UPDATE****

    4 months later, I've lost a total of 23 pounds, 9 pounds since my last review! Thanks Rockin' Body. It's definitely been harder losing weight with the holidays and parties and gatherings etc., but I've stayed consistent with my workouts and diet enough to lose an additional 9 pounds since October.

    Rockin' Body is my first Beachbody workout DVD. After seeing infomercial after informercial on the newer products, like T25 and Insanity, I looked more into what Beachbody offered on Amazon. Then I learned of Rockin' Body. It looked fun, easy to pick up, but still good enough of a workout to burn a sweat.

    Two months later, I've lost 14 pounds!

    I'm very happy with this result. RB was the workout I needed to kickstart my weight loss. Shaun T is just so energetic and lively during the workout, it's hard not to stop and take a break! In addition to adding RB to my exercise routine, I adopted a much healthier lifestyle with a nutritious, low calorie diet. I also combined different exercises in addition to the RB schedule. I definitely could have more if I was stricter on my diet during vacations, birthdays, outings with friends, etc. but even so, I'm not rushing my weight loss. 14 pounds in two months is a great start, and I know if I keep at it, my weight can only go down from there!

    My thoughts on each workout:
    Mark, Move, and Groove - 15 minute workout to familiarize you with the format of the DVD workouts, such as combo buildups, transitions, etc. I only used this workout once on the first day, as there isn't much to it besides being an intro. Use as needed to get familiar!
    Party Express - 25 minutes. One of my favorites for when I'm pressed for time. I break a good sweat in less than half an hour!
    Disco Party - Love this workout! It's fun to hear disco classics in the background and helps you enjoy dancing/moving - you don't even notice the time go by!
    Shawn's Dance Party - 45 minute dance workout. This is a lot of fun and keeps you moving the whole time. You'll see familiar moves in this workout from Party Express and Disco Party, so it makes it easy to transition from combo to combo.
    Rock Your Body - Cardio/strength workout with some classic rock in the background. This one uses weights and the first time I did it, I was sore the next day! It's the most intense workout of the series.
    Booty Time - 30 minutes, focuses on shaping your legs/behind. Lots of jumps and I still find it challenging after two months. It is a good workout and you will feel the improvement back there...seriously!
    Hard Core Abs - 10 minute core workout. It's so short that you can add it onto any of the aforementioned workouts, but intense enough to more a difference on your body in such amount of time.

    Rockin' Body is a fun workout DVD. It's not super high impact, but you combine workouts in different ways (or follow the schedule), you can easily workout your whole body. It's great for beginners or people who need a new workout in their routine.

    I plan to continue using RB. I will forever credit this DVD with helping me lose those first few pounds, and hope to build up my body to handle Insanity or P90. RB is helping me get there!

    Give this workout DVD a try. You won't regret getting in better shape...and what better way to do so than by dancing? :)

    I love Rockin' Body because it truly is a fun workout. Every workout is upbeat and energetic and all you have to do is give back that same energy and enthusiasm which is easy because Shaun T is a great motivator. If you put your all into every workout you will get results. Also worth mentioning, the whole system feels very complete because it is mainly dancy cardio but also includes toning.
    If you have tried other workout systems that lost your interest and faith, I recommend you try this. This will keep you interested and motivated long enough to get you results, which is all I could ask for from a workout program. I was able to stick to it and actually look forward to doing it every indicated day. I feel like my day is not complete if I don't do it. Before I bought this program I read a review that said the same thing and now I completely agree.
    I am happy with my progress. After doing the program for a month and following it precisely 85% of the time, I feel and look slimmer. I did not follow the nutrition guide. Though my weight loss wasn't drastic, I am very pleased. I measure my progress by my confidence level. People keep telling me I look thinner, I feel thinner, and my pants fit me a little looser. I know that if I continue to do the program for another two months I will have the results I dreamed of.
    Bottomline: I would definitely recommend this to a beginner, a dance enthusiast, a person who gives up easily, and a person who looses interest quickly. This program is effective for weight loss, improving cardio, and getting you active.
    Tip: This tip worked wonders for me and helps me perform at my best during every workout. Assuming you are a girl, pretend your crush, boyfriend, husband, idol, imaginary dreamboat, etc. is watching you work out. Try to move like a pro, do every move full out, and look like you are having a blast. It keeps you from letting your energy level die down and only putting a minimum of effort. When my moves start getting sloppy out of fatigue I ask myself, "Would Channing Tatum like to see me like this? No he wouldn't! Do it right!
    If that just seems too weird for you,( It shouldn't. It helped me) You can just pretend you are on stage with Shaun T and the cast. You wouldn't slack off in front of all those people in the audience and in front of the video cameras. You'd suck it up and pretend you are a professional dancer. If you keep this mentality up every time you do Rockin' Body, you will see results.

    You definitely sweat but it took me a good while to catch on to his dance moves. But once i got use to it, it was a fun dvd.
