I’ve had bad hands for a while, but after reading the reviews looking online, I thought a pair from Bath might be a good option. I ordered it but unfortunately, the first unit did not function properly. I called customer service explained the problem send a picture of the unit and model number and promptly received a replacement which works beautifully. I will say that I’ve never had better customer service from an Amazon vendor than I have from Elan-great customer service.

I haven’t even dipped my hands in it, yet. After the paraffin sat at the recommended “F 127” temperature for about 40 minutes, I tested it with a ThermoPro digital candy thermometer (fairly new), and it read 133 degrees Fahrenheit, so I dropped it down to F 120 for about 30 minutes.
Lid is not arthritis-friendly, so prepare for a mess!

The lid “handle” is difficult to grasp. It slipped from my fingers and a corner fell in. It splashed and made a little mess (onto my shirt as well). I tried to clean it off as best as I could (see photo) which made my hands numb (wrong direction I wanted to go with this). I am already in pain from cooking all day yesterday for Christmas. This is supposed to HELP.
I think later I will glue a hand strap to the top so I can manipulate the lid more securely. I have triple-crush syndrome in my hands, so I recommend to anyone who is getting this for hand therapy for pain etc., to fix the lid, first. My family got this for me as my Christmas gift to help me with hand pain and mobility. I will make this work!

I received my machine on December 8, 2024, and was very excited to use it. I followed the instructions, and it worked well. I just needed to adjust the heat setting to be more comfortable for me, and I realised that I needed to melt more than 4 of the wax packets for better coverage. My next attempt to use the machine 3 days later, it stopped working. I contacted the company via email, and although it was late at night, they responded, and I was sent a brand-new machine. It's been 3 months, and I am very satisfied with this machine
