Warm Tips:

  1. The pump is NOT SUBMERSIBLE, please do not put it into aquarium. Keep it dry.
  2. No check valve, the air pump should be placed above the water level of the fish tank（about 9.8in）.
  3. With check valve, the air pump can be placed below the water surface or placed on the table. The check valve (note the installation direction) can prevent the water from flowing backwards.
  4. To get the maximum air flow and extend air pump service life, we suggest to clean airline tubing and airstone regularly.
  5. 5W air pump: It is not recommended to connect less than 3 devices at most, and cannot exceed 5 feet water depth.
  6. 10W air pump: It is not recommended to connect less than 4 devices at most, and cannot exceed 6 feet water depth.

I bought a “whisper” pump from tetra and I could hear that beast from upstairs, it was insanely loud. I decided to give this a shot and it’s was night and day difference! This pump is incredibly quiet, and I like the adjustable output to fit the needs of the tank. The suction cup feet keep the pump in place and it works great. Definitely get this if you want a quiet pump that actually performs as advertised.

I've had many different brand air pumps and this is by far the quietest of them all. I've bought 2 now to replace my existing loud air pumps. Also great that you can adjust the air volume as well.  I was concerned that getting the larger 10W option would be too powerful, but with the flow knob, it's ideal for my application. I paired it with the Hygger 16" bubble wand and they work perfectly! They also come with MORE than enough air like. I also didn't realize that the pump by itself comes with two 1"(approximately) air stones.

At max, this pump will create a WALL of bubbles, however, depending on your tank size, you most likely won't need even half of it's output.

It also adds more gentle circulation to the tank which is an added bonus 😀

Pros:

- Just like all the other reviews say, this is a quiet air pump. It's not silent but puts out a small hum that's difficult to hear, even if you adjust the output to the max. It is however the quietest air pump I have ever come across.

- It puts out a generous amount of air, enough to power sponge filters in my 60g tank and 5g shrimp tank simultaneously. My aquatic pets seem to appreciate the extra airflow and water movement.

- It doesn't seem to generate much if any heat. Some other air pumps I've seen have a noticeably warm sensation on their housing, probably from the vibration of the diaphragm inside. This pump says it's magnetic, there's no vibration and you can barely tell it's on.

- The build quality seems solid, as of this writing I've had it on for three weeks, 24 hours a day, no issues so far.

Cons

- It's a little larger than other air pumps but that's a small trade off based on what it does.

- A little expensive but you get what you pay for.

Overall, I am very happy with the Hygger Small Quietest Aquarium Air Pump. It is very quiet, even when both outlets are open. I can only hear the sound of the bubbles in the water, not the pump itself. The pump is also very powerful, and it easily provides enough oxygen for my 10-gallon aquarium.

The package includes everything you need to get started, including two air stones, two valves, and two air tubes. I was pleasantly surprised to find the valves and air stones included, as they were not mentioned in the product description.

The only downside of the pump is that both outlets need to be open. You cannot close one outlet and use the other. This is not a major problem for me, but it is something to keep in mind if you are looking for a pump with only one outlet.

Overall, I highly recommend the Hygger Small Quietest Aquarium Air Pump. It is a quiet and powerful pump that is perfect for small aquariums.

Update 2: I pulled it a part for a third time. I bought a screw extractor set and I was able to get the stripped screw removed and the diaphragm replaced. I put it all back together and now it is running beautifully and silent. If it had ran this way from the unbox this would be an easy 5 star review. I am $65.00 in on this pump now and it is finally working well after much headache and extra money spent.

Update: I received replacement diaphragms that I had to buy, I was able to get one replaced but the screw on the second one almost instantly stripped. I now have a horribly unbalanced single channel air pump that sounds like shaking marbles inside of a cup when it runs at full power. Cool. Still disappointed.

I unboxed this after receiving it to get the cardboard recycled asap. I didn't get it installed until a week later. I immediately noticed that one of the ports had 0 air flow and the second was incredibly poor. Unfortunately without the box I doubt I could return it. I took it apart and noticed that both diaphragms were split open. I'm having to buy replacement parts before it's even seen any use. BEWARE that this could happen to you. Keep your box! I have a cheap tetra dual port pump from Walmart that's been running non stop since 2018 and still has amazing output. This has me regretting not getting another one of those. My hygger is now in pieces until I can get replacement parts.

I now have a horribly unbalanced single channel air pump that sounds like shaking marbles inside of a cup when it runs at full power. Cool. Still disappointed.

I unboxed this after receiving it to get the cardboard recycled asap. I didn't get it installed until a week later. I immediately noticed that one of the ports had 0 air flow and the second was incredibly poor. Unfortunately without the box I doubt I could return it. I took it apart and noticed that both diaphragms were split open. I'm having to buy replacement parts before it's even seen any use. BEWARE that this could happen to you. Keep your box! I have a cheap tetra dual port pump from Walmart that's been running non stop since 2018 and still has amazing output. This has me regretting not getting another one of those. My hygger is now in pieces until I can get replacement parts.

0-25% is kinda not dimeable but once it start you can kinda manage the power.

cant say if it will remain this quiet and such but good purchase (was in special 50%)

I only gave it 1-star because I cannot give it zero stars. I can not believe the “response” that I had from this supplier when an aquarium air-pump failed with burden-out actuator and vibration-damaged internal wiring after just 5-weeks operation. I will not buy any Hygger product again, but worse than that, the supplier flatly refuses to enter into any reasonable correspondence when I attempted to report a failure. They simply ignore their obligations under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, where goods are supplied, a legal contract for the sale or supply of goods exists between the trader and the consumer. This means that the trader - not the manufacturer - is responsible for the goods that they supply.
