    Home use only.
I’ve had the product for about a month now. I’ve used it extensively, just in a home studio setting. I did attach it to my PedalTrain Metro 24 pedal board.Construction quality is fair, when I went to attach the pedal to the board using pedal links, after removing the 4 bottom screws, one of them is completely stripped and one is still grabbing thread but never gets tight. Solution was to superglue the base back on and use Velcro’s to attach pedal. It’s smaller size is better than my CryBaby, but it has to be velcroed in an odd position due to the spacing on my pedal board.Sound Quality - the sound quality is very good. As a volume pedal it works great, as a wah pedal its 6 different positions allow for a lot of variations. I was able to dial in 3 tones and sweeps that I liked, I can’t do that with my CryBaby. The fails on the pedal are very small and you’ll need extra space between your pedals if you plan to switch it a lot.Overall - you get what you pay for. It’s half the price of most wah pedals. In a home setting, not attached to a pedal board it will be great. If you’re a player that gigs and rehearses regularly and move your gear often, I wouldn’t suggest this item based on the fact you would most likely have to replace it much sooner than if you bought a more professional more sturdy model.PS - The Velcro will not stay attached to the rubber feet on the bottom of the unit. I did have to remove the to get the Velcro in places where I could attach it to my pedal board.

I got this to replace a Behringer Hellbabe that replaced a Cry Baby pedal that died. The Behringer was horribl noisy and I sent it right back.

This pedal, however, was great right out of the box. I got the power supply at the same time, and tested it for about an hour as soon as I got it.

Construction is solid, pedal action is positive and very stable, and, unlike the Behringer, no noise at all - very quiet, ver stable, and very predictable, which will translate to very useful.

I like the controls and the two mode settings: wah/volume or wah/bypass. Switching in the first one turns on the wah with a very bright set of green LEDs which leave no doubt the effect is live. Use the toe switch again. the LEDs go off, and you are in volume pedal mode, a very handy and functional way to set it up.

I did not try the wah/bypass setting, as I will probably want the volume pedal mode most of the time.

I played a bit with the Q and Range settings, and there is a lot of room for experimentation here to get the kind of sounds one might want. There is a wide range of possible combinations of these two settings, pickup settings, and pickup tone settings, which give a lot of room for finding useful tones and wahs.

I am also impressed by the instructions and the power supply. While not perfect English, they are much better than usual from our friends in Asia, and the power supply seems well built and useful.

All in all, I am quite happy and will be looking more closely at Joyo gear in the future. I have already been looking at their small tube amps, and that may be my next buy from them.

Good job, Joyo! I am quite pleased.

I have other Joyo pedals and they are all top notch. Especially the newer models. I’ve owned boutique and name brand wah pedals and this lil gem holds its own. Was looking into a Mini 535Q wah when I thought to myself let’s see what Joyo has. This wah doesn’t disappoint. Wide variety of tones and sounds good with single coil and humbucker pickups. Save yourself a bunch of money and space without sacrificing quality, sound customization, and tone.

I don't think that there is a more versatile wah wah pedal on the market! It has the ability to function as an expression pedal, volume pedal, and of course as a wah pedal. The wah pedal though is exceptionally versatile. You can tweak the tone even better than the Foxx Wah pedals of the late 70's and early 80's. The tone of the wah can be tweaked in a linear rather than a fixed positional fashion and outshines the 70's and 80's wah pedals as well as most contemporary wah pedals. The smaller footprint is also a real plus (unless you have really big feet) because it takes up very little space on a pedal board. Overall, I love this wah pedal!

A lot of features for little money. Wah sounds from dull to extreme with the range control. I run the volume and quality pots at noon. I have it adjusted to sound like my Dunlop Wah on another board.

The volume pedal function works fine and does swells well. The green light is not on when using the volume peddle function. So if you have pressed the down and have the light on press down and cut it off for the volume pedal function.

It’s no harder to engage than my Dunlop and I have a size 11 shoe. I place it center of my foot and range of motion feels like the dunlop to. I was immediately comfortable playing with it.

      Longevity will be the test.

I dont have a printer or i'd likely have sent this thing back. In order to return this i have to go to a local library to use their printer - then drive to another town for a UPS drop off point.

It seems i'll just be biting the bullet and getting stuck with this master of nothing pedal.

Volume control - there is a knob on the side to adjust minimum guitar volume. This has to be pretty much pegged out or you will have sound bleeding through even when in volume mode - with the pedal all the way "off". When adjusted to be silent when pedal all the way open - you end up with VERY little pedal travel to smoothly taper in volume.

TLDR : Volume function is effectively useless - you can do cleaner swells with the knob on your guitar.

The wah. Well - i dont know. It makes the wah wah noise. But its a cheesy rendeition of it - and again there seems to be a "lack" of pedal travel to make this more usable.

The adjustment for wah isnt labeled or intuitive at all - in my experience maxing it out to the right - is the only setting in which you can get usable sound with the wah pedal all the way "off"

Its just not a good product, and you really should either fork over the extra what... $20 bucks? for a full size wah pedal.

      Or a volume pedal.

Again, this would have been sent back if it was easier for me to do so (no fault of the seller or amazon - that im in the middle of no where)

I recommend not buying this pedal. I've gotten some good tone out of it - but thats after 20 minutes of trying to find an effect that covers up its mud well - and i suppose if your plan is to simply adjust the wah to a tone you like and play it static from there - you could do okay?

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Volume & Wah pedal I've Tried
Reviewed in Canada on May 17, 2024
This was the FOURTH volume pedal I had ordered, after being sorely disappointed with the others (the Sonicake passive one was the WORST). I tried and returned THREE pedals before this one arrived, and to my relief and delight, this one was AWESOME. It is very versatile, with setting for just volume or just wah, or a combination of both. My favourite setting is that you can set the low treshold (say at 80% volume when just playing along with the band) then the max volume (say 100%) so that when you want to do a solo, you can raise your volume to be heard over the mix, then lower it back smoothly when it's finished. I much prefer a smooth increase and decrease in volume rather than a harsh "click" of a boost pedal. Still experimenting with it, but I'm so VERY pleased with it so far. Plus, a bonus is that it was so much cheaper than the other volume pedals. The "affordable" pedals in the US and UK cost well over $100 here in Canada, and most are $200 or more. So, "affordable", they are not. This one is.

5.0 out of 5 stars 50 years playing ... Best Wah wah I've played
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on May 28, 2024
I have tried many wah wahs in my 50 years of playing.
I have had many problems lately with clicking and loud popping using a well known wah, who also make tennis shoes lol. It also gives unwanted volume boost , and I hated it .. but need one.
I tried another brand , cheap muck using optical sensor.

Dont be put off by it's size. It is easily controlled , has a sweet sweep that is under control at all times.
I am size 10 feet UK, and it is no problem operating this small pedal footplate.

It is solidly constructed from metal, has a very good toe down switching option which is not accidentally switched.

It is very tweakable, and I dialled it in in minutes.

I never thought that I'd use the volume option on this ... I was wrong . I have that set up too.

I play about 60 gigs a year, and this will give me so much more confidence than the 'baby I had before.

Thank you Joyo. Your development team should be proud of themselves.

I'm not going to mark you down on this aspect .... but the text on the pedal is GOLD text on RED ... really hard to see. Black text would be a big improvement.

This lightweight wah fits just fine in my pedalboard, and it’s just as convincing as the "bigger guns". I’d recommended, anytime!
