I’ve been on the lake a few times now and I love this kayak. I’m 57 and short so I wanted something I could be comfortable with. Took me a couple of times to get used to getting on it but finally mastered it. It’s not a fast kayak but it’s sturdy and I feel comfortable and safe on it. I have no problem maneuvering it around. I suggest you get the longer paddle I tried the shorter one and it was much harder to paddle and you hit the side a lot plus you get wet from the paddle dripping water on you. I changed to the longer paddle and it was much better. The kayak is a bit heavy if I load and unload by myself it’s a bit more challenging but can be done. Much easier with two people. The only thing I didn’t like was the storage holes are pretty useless you can’t really put anything in there it will just slide all over the place. But I’m working on a solution for that. This would be a good family kayak I’ll be taking my granddaughter out on it. And might do a bit fishing on it. If you’re looking for a family kayak for cursing the lake and having fun I recommend this kayak.
