First, a few of the traps were difficult to set. They wouldn't click and remain in the SET position. I had to turn, squeeze and then gently set them down.
Secondly, baiting the traps is easy although a couple of the labels that cover the bait area were not placed correctly and left small gaps on the side. The labels should be larger so it has better coverage. I don't want the mice to access the bait from underneath.
Lastly, I have had 3 false "snaps" with no mice caught. The traps are getting triggered from SET to NOT SET.
Traps are way too expensive. At this point, I would rather used open traps and see dead mice than to see a live one scurry across the floor.
Con: ONLY Issue is how easily the trap releases from minimal/normal handling. I’ve already accidentally set 2 off just from gently putting them down. I also noticed when I opened them that they weren’t lined up like the others. I haven’t reached out to customer service, I just googled how to open them up and reset them…seems easy enough (famous last words and then you read “woman caught waist deep in mouse trap that she said seemed easy enough).
We purchased 2 traps at first, both caught a mouse - great
Dislike: Turned out there were more mice. Bought 4 next time. One could not even be set, it did not click in the set/arm position. A second one was found next morning either self triggered or mouse triggered (?) no mouse though. One more triggered into self-destructed mode, the top came off, could not be re-armed, very clean garbage 2 of 4.
Still bought some more thought the second batch might be an exception/lemon. So far, 2 self destructed with top blown off one in the middle of the night in our bedroom, 2 not triggered at all.
In summary, 2/2 followed by 1/4 by 0/4 makes 10 traps used, 1 not functional, 4 self destruct, 3 mice caught, two in the wild waiting for mice to visit. That is a 30% success rate and a 50% miserable quality rate. IMHO do not buy.
Unfortunately I cannot return the self destructed or any of the items.
