      We bought the Step 2 Pump & Splash Discovery Pond Water Table for our 3-year-old, and it has quickly become a backyard favorite! Assembly was a bit challenging—there are no pre-drilled holes, so you’ll need to muscle through screwing into plastic with just a screwdriver. It’s doable but requires some patience.

      Once it was together, though, the fun began! Our toddler loves splashing, scooping, and playing with the water features. The pump does take some effort—our little one isn’t strong enough to get it going consistently—but that’s actually a bonus since it means this toy will grow with her. Older kids visiting us were able to pump easily, making it a hit for all ages.

      If you’re looking for a water table that’s engaging and built to last, this is a great choice. Just have a little extra patience during assembly—it’s worth it!

      This is a cute splash pond but I am disappointed because it was missing a main part so I could not assemble the pond. The box from Amazon looked as if it may have been opened at one end and re-taped. It was going to be used as entertainment for toddlers for a birthday party. Unfortunately, I have to wait for the replacement part and will not receive it for a couple of weeks. Taking it back to Amazon is a pain because it is big and heavy. Not sure if the product came directly from Step2 and was a return but product assembly department should double check that all parts are packaged before sending it out especially if it is a return!!

      I’d bug an additional pump if you want a continuous water flow because the hand pump requires a bit of a fast pump to start it up that my tot can’t really handle.
      Please be cautious and dump the water out when you’re done, it is definitely deep enough for a little one to fall in to. I’d say 3 inches if you fill it up. You have to fill it to about and inch and a half for the pump to be able to reach the water.
