***Feb 6 Update*** After reviewing a vid on YouTube I decided to order a new plug ($18 on Amazon) to replace the existing one. It was easy to replace and there is now power to my hot tub! Not sure why the old one died, but possibly due to either water damage or the extension cord I was initially using was not heavy duty enough.**Update Feb 1, 2024** The last time using the hot tub was a month ago. We had snow and super freezing temps coming so I took the hot tub down and brought the motor inside. We are now back to 60 plus degree weather (today was 68) so I attempted to set the hot tub back up, however, after plugging in the machine, it powered on for a second and went back off. I unplugged and tried it a few more times with no luck. It does not power on at all. Heartbreaking. I'll troubleshoot when I have more time and will contact customer service if I can't get it going. I will update again.-Original Review-I bought the SaluSpa Cancun 2-4 person inflatable hot tub (grey wicker print) in early April 2023. My first hot tub and the best purchase I've made in years. Soaking in the tub surrounded by trees first thing on a crisp cold morning while watching the sunrise and basking under the moon light at night was something I didn’t know I needed in my life. After nearly 10 months of fairly consistent use, here are my observations and experiences.Basic Stuff- First, the water gets HOT and the bubbles really pop! It's both super soothing and a lot of fun. I’ve only had two average size people in this at a time and it’s comfortable and spacious, though your feet may bump into each other from time to time. Three people could work, but it would be kind of tight and you’ll definitely be touching. Idk for sure, but I think four people would be like sardines in a can.- Someone else set up the tub for me so I can't speak to that process first hand. I watched him follow the instructions and he had it up and ready to fill in a flash. It didn't take long or seem difficult.- The air jets are fun and the bubbles pretty potent, but they have no pressure to actually massage you. Idc though, I still love having them on. I fill the tub to the brim…much higher than the fill line b/c…for some reason it’s more fun to have the water up to my ears with the bubbles splashing out chaotically all around me.- The motor is noticeable, but not too loud or annoying, imo. With jets on though, it’s pretty loud, but still does’t bother me.- The Bestway Saluspa filters that come with this are great and last long if you clean them regularly. I bought some cheap filters when the bestway ones were done and they did NOT filter well and did NOT last long with the same amount of care. Despite being more expensive, I ended up ordering the Bestway Saluspa filters as they filter better and last longer.- I originally used a plastic tarp underneath the tub before switching to one of those thin 100% PET fiber outdoor rugs from Home Depot. The HD outdoor rug got moldy quickly so I bought a round polypropylene outdoor rug that sits underneath. My Hot Water HackAfter the first use I found an easy remedy for keeping my water hot. My laundry room is right off of the patio with a separate door leading to the outside. I purchased a garden hose splitter (tried a few and the best one was AINEED Water Hose Splitter 2 Way Heavy Duty here on Amazon, pic included) and attached one side to the hot water line of the washing machine and the other to a Silver Bullet expandable pocket hose (because it's lead free). I ran the pocket hose from the washing machine through the pet door to the hot tub outside and to the hose I added a nozzle with a shut off lever. When the tub water would start cooling down, I would simply turn on the lever and add hot water while still sitting and relaxing in the tub. With this method, I could stay in it for hours, and would often do so, with 104 degree water. I also fill it up this way after cleaning it so that the water is hot and ready to go immediately. I eventually had an outdoor shower rigged up by running two hoses - one from the hot and cold lines on the washing machine to a watering wand that is connected to a pole. Another spigot splitter is used to connect the hose that leads to the hot tub. Super rigged, super great! In the summer I take outdoor showers with my flowers and Arborvitae trees!Cleaning & Treating WaterFor the first several months, I did not use any chemicals to treat the water. Because of this, I had to empty and clean it every 3 to 5 days when the floor of the tub starts to get a little slimy. Got tired of the frequency so started using Bromine tablets but that alone did not stop the slime. Then began using an algicide which makes the water last a month or more. Without two caps of the algicide, the floor will get slimy. I haven’t tried the algicide without the bromine tablets in the chemical floater, thinking I will try and see if I can get away with not using bromine - I dislike the smell. Cleaning is easy. Just pull the plug to drain the water and detach the 3 hose connections from the heater, which is also easy. I then spray cleaning vinegar and sprinkle baking soda in the tub and use a rag to thoroughly wash down the inside. I then put it on its side and use a water hose to spray it down and rinse it out. Once its back on it’s bottom, hook up the 3 hoses to the heater and start refilling with water which fills fairly quickly. The cleaning process is quick and easy for me. But I can see how some might not want to do this very often or at all. Maybe with stronger chemicals and shocking the water etc., one might be able to go longer without cleaning it, idk. I’d rather clean more frequently and have less chemicals. Would love a salt option, but I fear it would damage the pump after while.Error CodesI have had an error code occur on a couple of occasions. When you turn on the heat, the filter automatically kicks on. So if you’re filing the tub and turn on the heat before the water is higher than the filter, it will kick off the motor and give you an error. Simply unplug the unit and it will reset. The CoverThe cover has an inflatable piece that you insert to keep it from sinking in when it rains. When inflated fully and water in tub filled completely, the cover stays afloat and does not sink in during rain. However, when the inflatable insert is not full and no water in the tub, the cover will sink in due to rain water pooling on top. Someone mentioned they had rain water leaking through their cover into the tub. That has not been my experience, mine does not seem to leak.No Wifi? No ProblemSomeone mentioned in a review that the heater will not work without a wifi connection. I’m not sure what they are talking about. All of the buttons to operate the machine are on the machine and that plugs into the electrical outlet. Wifi is not needed to use this. If there is an app for this, I do not use it so maybe that’s their issue, but not sure. I’ve never had an issue with any of the buttons on the machine itself.Electricity CostI’ve kept the heater on and running pretty much non-stop for the past 5 months and it has had very little impact on my bill.OverallI absolutely love this thing and like someone else mentioned, it has become my favorite toy! I love being in water and I love being outside, so it’s a wonderful experience for me every time. In the summer I used it as a plunge pool by day (before getting a larger inflatable pool) and hot tub by night. Superb for my muscles after the gym and if I went back in time knowing what I know now, I would buy it all over again, but sooner! It's extremely comfortable and enjoyable to be in. I stretch, meditate, do yoga, watch movies, listen to podcasts and just enjoy nature while in the tub. This thing is great for this time of my life, but when I move to my forever home, I’m definitely buying a hard shell jacuzzi tub.

This is my second purchase of this same hot tub. The only reason I had to get a second one is because a cat jumped on the first one and put a hole, actually many holes, on a steam and on the side, which was too difficult to repair. I had my second one for this past summer and it doubled as a small pool for my kids. Cheaper than getting a pool membership easier to maintain in a large pool. Very easy to set up, no leaks, and the pump hasn’t had any issues! Put it up for the winter and that was pretty easy too! Hold heat great!

Removed a star because the cover has 2 puncture wounds straight out of the box. It has an inflatable insert to keep it afloat and a second insulated cover that goes over it so it's still usable but should be without holes from the start. Set up was fairly straightforward, directions are terrible/non-existent but intuitive so we didn't watch any videos and still got it up and running pretty quickly. The bubbles from the bottom are surprisingly strong but it is really loud so your neighbors will likely hear you especially if you want to have a conversation (you will be yelling) or listen to music (it will be blaring). It's perfect for 2 people, I can't see how 4 people could be comfy unless no one in the group has legs. We did get some chlorine at our local pool store. They recommended adding a tablespoon of dissolved granules once a week so we'll see how that goes. We also plan to clean the filter weekly.

After a few weeks of use, I'm considering returning it. The only thing stopping me is how big a pain it would be to get it back in the box.

I'll start with the pros - It's pretty easy to put together, however, this is mostly due to watching a few YouTube videos as the manual it comes with isn't much help. The manual also doesn't explain the functions very well or identify what the additional parts are for. However, the process itself is pretty simple and can be done by one person. I've also had no issue with the pump itself as it works fine and there have been no malfunctions. I can't speak to the heating element as I haven't used it.

    Cons -
#1 - No Automatic pump - the website description makes it seem like the pump will run automatically but that really isn't the case. I bought this to use more as a pool during summer and if you're not using the heater continually then the pump doesn't run and you have to manually turn it on for at least 8 hours a day. Not sure how that will work if we go out of town. It's also unclear if you would still need to do this even while using the heating function since the manual and website info is very unclear on how often it will run even if you keep the heater on.
#2 - Cover isn’t waterproof and gets dirt in the tub - every time it rain the water collects around the edges and when taking the cover off the it gets into the water. It's almost impossible to avoid this since the blow-up portion is smaller than the actual tub and it's the primary source of dirt in the tub. What good is the cover keeping the dirt out of the tub while it's on only for all the debris on top to fall in while removing it. Also I realized that the water level raises every time it rains which means the water it getting through the cover. Then I have to let the extra water out which is a real pain.
#3 - And I realize this is nitpicky, but the chemconnect doesn't fit the standard bromine and chlorine tabs. I've wanted to keep on top of the chemicals but it’s impossible to get the full tabs in there and they don't break apart very easily.

    - The air jets are fun and the bubbles pretty potent, but they have no pressure to actually massage you. Idc though, I still love having them on. I fill the tub to the brim…much higher than the fill line b/c…for some reason it’s more fun to have the water up to my ears with the bubbles splashing out chaotically all around me.

    - The motor is noticeable, but not too loud or annoying, imo. With jets on though, it’s pretty loud, but still does’t bother me.

    - The Bestway Saluspa filters that come with this are great and last long if you clean them regularly. I bought some cheap filters when the bestway ones were done and they did NOT filter well and did NOT last long with the same amount of care. Despite being more expensive, I ended up ordering the Bestway Saluspa filters as they filter better and last longer.

    - I originally used a plastic tarp underneath the tub before switching to one of those thin 100% PET fiber outdoor rugs from Home Depot. The HD outdoor rug got moldy quickly so I bought a round polypropylene outdoor rug that sits underneath.

    My Hot Water Hack

After the first use I found an easy remedy for keeping my water hot. In the summer I take outdoor showers with my flowers and Arborvitae trees!

    Cleaning & Treating Water

For the first several months, I did not use any chemicals to treat the water. Would love a salt option, but I fear it would damage the pump after while.

    Error Codes

I have had an error code occur on a couple of occasions. When you turn on the heat, the filter automatically kicks on. So if you’re filing the tub and turn on the heat before the water is higher than the filter, it will kick off the motor and give you an error. Simply unplug the unit and it will reset.

    The Cover

The cover has an inflatable piece that you insert to keep it from sinking in when it rains. When inflated fully and water in tub filled completely, the cover stays afloat and does not sink in during rain. However, when the inflatable insert is not full and no water in the tub, the cover will sink in due to rain water pooling on top. Someone mentioned they had rain water leaking through their cover into the tub. That has not been my experience, mine does not seem to leak.

    No Wifi? No Problem

Someone mentioned in a review that the heater will not work without a wifi connection. I’m not sure what they are talking about. All of the buttons to operate the machine are on the machine and that plugs into the electrical outlet. Wifi is not needed to use this. If there is an app for this, I do not use it so maybe that’s their issue, but not sure. I’ve never had an issue with any of the buttons on the machine itself.

    Electricity Cost

I’ve kept the heater on and running pretty much non-stop for the past 5 months and it has had very little impact on my bill.

    Overall

I absolutely love this thing and like someone else mentioned, it has become my favorite toy!

***Feb 6 Update*** After reviewing a vid on YouTube I decided to order a new plug ($18 on Amazon) to replace the existing one. It was easy to replace and there is now power to my hot tub! Not sure why the old one died, but possibly due to either water damage or the extension cord I was initially using was not heavy duty enough.

**Update Feb 1, 2024** The last time using the hot tub was a month ago. I will update again.

    -Original Review-
I bought the SaluSpa Cancun 2-4 person inflatable hot tub (grey wicker print) in early April 2023. My first hot tub and the best purchase I've made in years. Soaking in the tub surrounded by trees first thing on a crisp cold morning while watching the sunrise and basking under the moon light at night was something I didn’t know I needed in my life. After nearly 10 months of fairly consistent use, here are my observations and experiences.

    Basic Stuff

    - First, the water gets HOT and the bubbles really pop! It's both super soothing and a lot of fun. I’ve only had two average size people in this at a time and it’s comfortable and spacious, though your feet may bump into each other from time to time. Three people could work, but it would be kind of tight and you’ll definitely be touching. Idk for sure, but I think four people would be like sardines in a can.

    - Someone else set up the tub for me so I can't speak to that process first hand. I watched him follow the instructions and he had it up and ready to fill in a flash. It didn't take long or seem difficult.

The bubbles are lovely. I've only had this 2 days. So far, water is collecting underneath but I can't tell if it is a leak or from our rain. I'm 5'5 and it's the perfect height for me for the bubbles on my back, neck and shoulders. Overall great purchase. The plug length is a little short and limits the positioning greatly.
