I like the quality plastic material. It looks like it would hold up well while traveling. Unlike a savings bank book cover which remains open at the top - this unit completely covers the passport. Thus, offers greater protection against liquid spills or rain.
Besides the holding compartment the passport fits in, it has a fold over cover where one can put credit cards and other identification. This might be handy? I doubt I'd use it, but you never know.
I wish the flap and the holding compartments were wider. This would allow for better protection and better flap folding and coverage.
Initially the flap cover stays open and one might use an elastic band to hold it down. Eventually, the crease takes hold and the cover will stay closed without an elastic band. This is really not an issue as the passbook is normally in a closed space anyways.
