One of the four had a malfunctioning button, so it wouldn’t connect to the app. I reached out to Govee customer service and they sent a complete replacement 4-pack. They even checked back with me a week later to make sure things are still going well.
With regards to the product, the main reason I purchased it was because I use “hey Google“ and I love how this essentially can turn any appliance hey-Google compatible (or Alexa if that’s what you’re into).
Connecting it and labeling the plugs were extremely easy. Each plug takes about one minute to set up. I wish there was a way that the plug can track how much watts are being used through it, but so far it’s wonderful for my automated routines. Overall, highly recommend

The Govee Smart Plug is a fantastic addition to my smart home setup, earning four stars for its ease of use and functionality. Setting it up was incredibly simple, with the app providing a step-by-step guide that made the process effortless. The app itself is user-friendly and intuitive, making it easy to manage all connected devices.I primarily use the Govee Smart Plug to control the smaller lights in my front room and dining room, as I can’t stand having the overhead lights on at night. It integrates seamlessly with Alexa, allowing me to set up routines like “Alexa, Bedtime,” which turns off all the lights and the TV, and “Alexa, We’re leaving,” which turns off everything except one light by the window. These routines make my daily life more convenient and efficient.The plug has been reliable and works exactly as expected. However, its size is a drawback—it covers the second outlet regardless of which one you use, which can be frustrating when you need access to both outlets. This design issue is the main reason I’ve rated it four stars instead of five.Overall, the Govee Smart Plug is a great product that I enjoy using daily. It’s reliable, easy to set up, and integrates well with smart home systems. I just wish it had a smaller footprint to make it even more convenient.

First and foremost, I absolutely love these devices. Affordable, convenient, simplicity and functionality of the app. I use these throughout my home for mostly lamps and small electronics. The reason for four stars is I learned the hard way that the current capacity is only 10 amps. I live in New England and during the winters I like to warm the bathroom in advance every morning with a space heater. I previously used a digital timer and then decided to use one of these instead. Not paying attention to the 10am max current draw using it on a 1500 watt space heater, I quickly realized I crossed that threshold. Simple math will tell you the heater draws 12.5 amps (face palm), well over the max. I noticed an awful burning plastic smell and quickly noticed the culprit. Fortunately no other incidents occurred outside of just melting the plastic on the digital plug, but I’m more impressed that it still works! Obviously this was my mistake and I will no longer use it due to safety concerns, but I just wished these had higher current capacity such as a 15amp rating. Other than that issue, I love these things and will continue to purchase more.
